I had beer for lunch yesterday. It was quite good.

Sadly, no beer right now - sitting at my cube finishing up some stuff, then driving to OMA.

He's moving down in the world -- obviously can't afford Woodford Reserve on his new job.

I recommend Moose Drool. It's cheaper and tastes much better.

Go away for a few weeks and come back to find all this drama. Oh my.

To contribute for the gamblers out there, a $5k investment in AIG at it's low is worth a little over $38K currently.

The official demotion is still weeks from happening; now that my departure from administration has been announced, everyone now wants to complete documentation and proposals I told them to complete more than a year ago. In other words, my workload managed to increase dramatically during the phase-out period ...

That would get rid of some of our debt, but instead of thinking of it that way the government probably already spent it on something else. What to do...

Fannie, Freddie, AIG, and Motors Liquidation (GM's mega-bankrupt spin-off) are all worthless stocks rising in value ...

That's a clear sign that your successor is viewed as a mean S.O.B. This is your opportunity to reconsider & stick around for all the little people.

No - a replacement hasn't been named and my only recommended candidate said "No way in (location)". Replacement is seen as not-competent by definition.
