I'm getting sick of this merger "call NW" or "call DL" bullsh*t.

Twice this weekend trying to SDC on 006 stock and DL coded flights. Had issues.

Sat- Tried to sdc to a different routing from MCO-DTW direct on a mix of DL/NW metal. Gate agent said can't SDC to codeshares. 2nd agent said I was checked in to an NW flight so there was nothing they could do... I needed to be un checked in and they weren't willing to invol me. Res Agent (w/Global SUpport) said no can do. Finally CRC was able to un-check me in but flight was closed.

Tonight, the SO is going LAX-DTW-MCO. Sadly he's reflected as an FO in their system (oddly) and so he didn't get upgraded. Decided to do the LAX-MCO direct. SAME ISSUES. Manual reissues person said they'd saved the seat(s) but they couldn't un check me in over the phone, go to the LAX desks to do it. Heck no. Told him to connect me to NW, they were able to do it... after 15 minutes of hemming & hawing. Then I get back to DL who says they are having issues.. manual reissues was able to finally get it done, after 40 minutes on the phone.

Absolute BS.

Hey, that's not so bad. It took me ~2 hours & ~9 phone calls to get our upgrades back once late last year on a NW-operated, DL-ticketed itinerary that hadn't yet been cleaned up (typical schedule change messes) before the upgrade cycles started on NW.

We should be thankful they're attending to us instead of doing productive stuff like selling tickets.

Wow. What was their excuse for it taking so long?

People kept haning up. It had to be worked through SMS, and as a WP member I didn't have direct access to SMS. I had to call the regular # (international itinerary dodge) and convince someone to be sympathetic enough to transfer me to SMS, then they had to work it directly w/ the NW elite line. The only thing that save us was an emailed upgrade notice from NW w/ our seat assignments.

I think I was the first such sheep that wasn't quietly transformed to gyros.

Why call SMS instead of PE line to Chisholm with them either calling SMS on your behalf or connecting you? Every time I need to talk to SMS I do it via the PE line...

Because it was DL ticketed & the upgrades were lost because DL hadn't cleaned up its schedule change mess in a timely manner -- there was a DL change that required reticketing after we'd been upgraded. I wanted them restored. I did not want to wait & take our chances with the next sweep.

Totally understand. On my screwed up DL itins and flights, I still call NW PE line and they have always fixed whatever was the issue without having to call the general DL #. Sometimes they transfer me to DL SMS and other times, do the call themselves and voila... it's all fixed.

Well...I just need the full cable hookup to occur (which is tomorrow afternoon) and then I will consider myself fully moved in.

That is awesome!! Moving is such a pain. Love to travel, but I hate to move! In other news (smile), looking forward to seeing folks a week from this Saturday in MSP! Should be fun! Hope everyone is well!

Can't believe that the MSP DO is coming up (I just saw it on my calendar as I was looking ahead to next week) - time has really flown by this month.

Time got away from me as well, and an event with the CEO was added to my calendar that precludes my attendance.

I picked up an unwanted souvenir in Philly last week, a miserable cold.

Or maybe I have the flu, hope it's not the swine flu
