In preparation we've enlarged the main rooms and entry hall, and doubled the size of the bar, but thanks to our wonderful interior designers, it actually feels more cozy here now. We also installed Bose noise suppression systems that soften the tone of all our cheery discussions; no one need ever confuse the Lounge with OMNI.

Finally got enough locks changed on our front doors so the guy who takes care of our cats when we're gone can get in & out easily. He's pretty capable guy (contract engineer who works for us off & on), but every proposed solution with regard to our locks has always involved the word "Sawzall".

DTW Tigers vs MSP Twins
Hey, it's great to be here at Delta. But the inflight baseball short features I have seen flying DTW - NRT seem to have an ATL focus. They even show a feature on the Braves ground crew. OK, Coke and peanuts are better, but do they have to subject us to the ATL Braves?
The Tigers and Twins playing for the Central Division Championship today (the Tigers leading, but the Twins never make it easy). How about a little hub city equality?

Holy Moley Mike! Thanks!
As an update on her condition. One step forward, two back, three forward, two back.
The first surgery went OK, then there was an issue with a heart valve that required another surgery the day after. Then on the third day back in again for something else I didn't understand.
They have put her on a transplant list, but in the mean time she is recovering slowly and according to big sis; getting a bit better every day.
Efforts like yours Mike, and everyone else is genuinely helping. My sister told me she had received about thirty postcards and a bunch of get well cards from the FT community. She is trying to have her dad explain it all to her, and he can't.
Thanks again, folks.

First, thanks to EVERYONE who remembered Allison in thoughts, prayers, and actions. You can't believe the overwhelming response that it is getting from Allison and her family.
Allison has had a tough couple of weeks, three surgeries in two weeks. She continues to be in great spirits and still loves to tease her family. I was able to take time off work and spend some time with her this week.
She has been placed on evaluation for a heart transplant, provided all of that is a go; she will be put on a waiting list for a new heart.
The good news is with her being at The Cleveland Clinic, there aren't too many places better equipped for this type of care.
Thanks again, you are the best!

I used to save AA miles........but I dont' anymore...for a number of reasons. Mostly dealing with the lack of upgrades, and the fact that I'll never have enough miles to make it worth it. I'd (at best) get to "ruby" at the age of 90 or so.....and what good will that do me?
Anyway, does NW have a forum similar to The Lounge?
As many have already probably noticed, there is a welcome NW people on the DL board.
Has The Lounge bought enough Krystal to welcome everyone?
Dave

Glad to hear the backward slide has diminished.

The funny thing is that I believe Delta Air Lines is also the official airline of both the New York Yankees and Mets...I wish all the best for her, underpressure.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do...

New guy in town
Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan and im retarded. So im writing as i have a dilemma, my brothers wedding is coming up and i need to go back to ireland for it. he is getting married in Decemeber and i need to find, a good flight thats cheap and preferably not flying from Jersey...lol. I intend to fly on Dec 3rd and return on Jan 4th 2010. I have looked at a number of posts and seen that you guys know more about flying than i ever will know so i would really appreciate a community effort to return this young Irish man home so he can be beside his brother the day he is married. Im also not good at following rules so i hope that this is not inappropriate to be posting. All and any help in the adventure will be greatly appreciated.

Why does Delta change fares so many times during the day. One second, I thought about buying the tickets and spent all these time planning, the next, I tried booking and fare went up.
Then, later in the day, it dropped.
It's not the first time

That's part of the reason that if you see a fare you are willing to pay, pull the trigger and you've got 24 hours with Delta to cancel.
