You will not to do driving in the cars or get inside the commercial airplanes for 8 hours due to FAA regulations. You have to stay in sobers for 8 to 24 hours.

Unless, of course, you are just a mere passenger on the flight --- then you are free to enjoy as many cocktails as you desire (within reason) in the DL SkyClub prior to departure.
