I got off work and rushed to shower and change and geet ready for the concert. Walked the 7 blocks to Maddison Square Gardens and made it ot teh concert in time for a bit of the preband. Had some beer and other liquor before the concert. We were able to enjoy the entire concert from our great seats and then moved to the 'VIP Area' for the rest.
That night ws great, a few mroe drinks after the concert and well.......
The newxt two days were filled with great food, shopping, movies that were only in NYC and LA, Lots of Drinking, and little sleep.
He loved the trip, as it was a much needed trip at the end of the semester for him.

I can't believe it, I missed my very first flight ever today. I got up late, read email, it was a foggy drive to LAX, I waited on the Avis bus for 20 minutes, and it took forever to go around the horn to terminal 5 at LAX....25 minutes before the flight and Delta had already given my seat away.

You're one up on me. I've never missed a flight for any reason and hope to maintain that record.

After a 2 hr delay we boarded and no pre drinks were served as Catering didn't make it to the plane till after the front doors were closed. But we made it about 45 mins late to Phx. Oh yeah, forgot, I Thought that the Yellow tags on your luggage ment that it was to come up near the begining, not at the VERY END OF THE BAGGAGE RUN!!!! But that is PHX for you.

Missed my 1-hour check-in window by 5 minutes. Luckily still had 25 minutes for the check-in window for the next (last) DL flight to the US for the day and got a seat on that one...
I've jumped on mucho planes where they've slammed the door behind me. But my record of never missing a flight due to my own moronic actions is still in tact.

I always told them my flight left an hour earlier than it actually did.
And many times I was dropped at the airport 45 minutes before the real time for my flight.
Which means that I would have missed my actual flight if the guy/gal who dropped me off didn't know I was lying and had told him/her that my real flight was later than the flight I was really taking if I hadn't told him that the flight was actually an hour later than the flight I had actually booked but didn't take so I'd make my real flight.
If you know what I mean.....

Dear Lounge
I'll admit it -- I'm a mileage whore. I'd even suggest that "mileage slut" would be a more appropriate appellation, and I'm not looking for any 12-step programs to get over it.
So I opened my mail this evening. What is wrong with this?
Awards on UA start at 25K miles. In late March, we'll be flying SIN-SYD-SIN (almost 8K miles) on SQ. I'm not 100% sure that the SQ fare is eligible to earn miles (it's a "Two To Go" special from SQ's web site), but barring that I'd be willing to shift $5K in day-to-day purchases from my NW card.
The credit card offer is good thru Feb. 27, so I might even see if UA would comp me first. I mean, if I'm going to prostitute myself, why bother with restraint?
I've been very faithful to NW & DL the last few years but this prospect of a love 'em and leave 'em relationship with UA is tempting.
This is almost too good to be true --- what am I missing in this picture???????
So I opened my mail this evening. What is wrong with this?
- Chase has offered me a United Mileage Plus Visa Signature Card
- Annual fee ($60) waived for one year
- 20,000 thousand United miles after the first purchase
- Miles can be withdrawn if account open less than 6 months (thinking what I'm thinking?)
- Insert assures me that I will get "20,000 bonus miles...almost enough for a Roundtrip Ticket"

I think she retaliated by stuffing her 22" rollaboard so full I almost needed a hydraulic ram to get it in the overhead bin on the Avro.

This is good, fly UA once and you'll return with a new appreciation of DL.
Also, every time you apply for a credit card, a flag goes on your credit report. Not a big deal, but ask them to release it after they approve your card (and get a name from the person who says they will).
