Never use hotel for wake up calls...can come very early, very late or never.

That's why God invented cell phone alarm clocks.

Forced Mileage Run

We got mechanicaled (is that a word?) as we were gettig ready to board. Now keep in mind for me to get home from JFK I have to do two segments (my choices being JFK- PIT, IAD, PHL, DTW or CVG then on to BGM). I was doing IAD tonight. But nothing could get me to a connection that would get me home tonight (SMS tried, CRC tried and the incompetent GA tried). So here I am. Now tomorrow I get to do JFK-CVG-BGM and will shoot another day traveling - will get home after 5 pm (in the end I will have spent 30 hours with clients this week and over 40 traveling, not one of my better weeks). But I am trying to be positive and think of this as a forced mileage run, getting me closer to that platinum status. Why anyone would do a mileage run JFK-CVG-BGM in crj's escapes me but hey why not.

So I at least got my CRC membership, DL is paying for the hotel, and I have another voucher. I love them vouchers. When is the vegas get together anyway? I think we should have a hollywood do in august when I have my foo foo event and speech!

I generally leave a dollar tip on the bar in CRC's for each drink. Especially if you hang around for several, the service gets even better & the drinks get bigger.

I didn't do that on my first several visits but noticed a couple women tipping the bartender in the ATL A-17 (or thereabouts) CRC one evening, thought about it, and decided that the personalized bar service was a notch above the WC self-serve approach plus the CRC's in ATL stock cognac so I started tipping them.

Really. I had a nice Continental breakfast this morning at an MSP WorldClub (2 yogurts, toasted bagle w/ cream cheese, corn bread muffin, roll, apple, capacino) and cheese, crackers, cookies, an orange and more capacino at the MEM WC.

CRC's are for boozin'.

However, FT really sucks on a 2400 baud dialup, and that seems to be best I can do on my 4.5 hour stop in MEM.

Ft speed sucks on my 144k idsl connection out here in the rural boonies, it sucks on the high speed wifi connection at Panera Bread. On a 2400 dialup it must bring back memories of when I was on Prodigy circa 1991 or '92. I know Randy loves Macs, and they're fine for certain things, but is he running this site on Mac servers?

I will admit that it was only once where I slept in to make me remember to turn off the mute before going to bed.
Looks like there are plenty freeware laptop alarms....

Well, a few minutes worth of surfing kept me occupied and out of trouble for hours. It's hard to believe that there was a time in my life when my 2400 baud modem was a step up from 1200 baud. I must have been incredibly patient.

Today was just bad luck -- MEM's wireless wouldn't validate my credit cards and the phone lines were trash.

How is it that you get vouchered and mechanicalated and vouchered and all I ever get is mechanicalated?

I'm doing something wrong. The gravy train of vouchers is missing me.

You are allowed to pummel one clod per year, with a lifetime bonus of one extra clod. Please don't stain the carpet; some of them are looking ratty enough as it is.

Since the price is for all the services...and at $65 is a deal....how much should each person get?
All the kid needs is a crew cut. Take the other $55 and yourself to a nice restaurant while the kid's getting sheared.
