Downside was that we went from an MD90 to a 737... so we're waiting for a new crew
Is it the 73H or 73Y, or the standard, run-of-the-mill 737?

My folks have one they've enjoyed for years. They bought it thinking they would use the "swap" feature. Instead they use their actual unit (or at least one in the complex) every summer. After years of family vacations, my sister picked up a unit (not sure if it was a resale or repo) for dirt-cheap in the same complex. The annual maintenance is less than a week in a hotel (much less a two bedroom condo) and they like the area (near where Dad grew up).

That said, I'm glad you said "no" to the salesmen. If you decide you are interested, check for resales. Perhaps even ask at the desk (check-in, not sales). My sis found her unit via a bulletin board flyer near the laundry room in the basement of the complex.

Isn't there also the 73Q, or is that the 76Q?

It must be a conspiracy! As soon as my glass is empty, another appears in front of me...I figured I should start a collection of those umbrellas...

2. As you pointed out you can 'mask' your drinks in the SC which will help offset any reduction in the air. How long is the flight? One drink every 45 minutes give or take 15 minutes? Depending upon the length of the flight I might go heavy in the SC and early in the flight then taper off. Travel safe.

Sounds like the masking approach is the way to go. I basically did that at the SC, club soda pre flight, wine with dinner (cleverly refilled before empty), then tea.

Unfortunately, our 73H became a 73Y, so we lost our AVOD Still beat 11 hours on the 744 though! Probably because I wasn't sitting next to some sketchy porn producer this time.

Oh this would be such a bad idea. Better that she just silently judge me.

I hate those eqp swaps. Happen to me all the time on mco-lac/slc.

As for the 1am slc-sfo, no tv's but they did give every pas $100 voucher for the delay,2 plane swaps, 2 crew swaps and 3 gate changes. The slc team provided REALLY best in class irops handling. Had 2 redcoats, 3 ga's and broiight snacks and drinks out and set them up.

73Q is on AS... and its a combi A/C... ie a 734 with the front cabin removed, and 72 seats in an all Y config. I hear Row 16 is nice though ^

Re: beverages

The pomegranate martini that DL offers is not too bad... at least not a typical offering I get elsewhere. And I have requested the mixer with Sprite ^

I loved the room at the HGV Parc Soleil
There was an article in a recent Sunday newspaper discussing the pros and cons of timeshares, and problems some owners experienced. Some owners, in this economy, couldn't sell at a steep discount let alone give the property away. Of course the Pres of one timeshare Co refuted the negative aspects as being baseless and pointed out the he owns numerous timeshares.
