Where do you download these? I listen to books every day while I manufacture...keeps my mind off how hot and sweaty it gets in my shop.(and yes, they have to be unabridged!) I have some of my favorites on CD, but it seems like it would take a long time to upload them to the computer and then download them to the IPOD.
The iPod came with a CD to load on the computer. It should have a program called iSync. I am not very computer savy so I was pleasantly surprised when the iSync opened up by itself and put my calendar and address book on the iPod. I have a MAC and that might make a difference. You might have to do some research. It is well worth it.

The books don't take any longer than adding a music cd into the iTunes program. I upload them to my computer when I get time. When I plug the iPod into my computer to charge they automatically load on the iPod really quick before the iPod has charged. I also share a membership with my daughter at audible.com. The books we have bought are in a "library" that we can access any time we need them. There are several good websites out there including Apple that have books for sale. I also shop Barnes & Noble outlet and ebay for books on CD's.

It is time to quit teasing Lehava

This discussion has been very traumatic for the dear girl.

It is time for the truth to be told.

Lehava was talking about her cell phone...Now get your minds out of the gutter!!!!!!!!!!!

Topic Ender and Apology

It appears that we have offended some of the posters on this thread and they are staying away. For offending anyone I do apologize (as I am sure some others do), for having some fun, sorry I cant apologize for. We all need laughter and we all have to accept different people find different topics humorous.

I had asked a genuine question never intended to upset anyone (which I still dont know the answer to, who is responsible for damage to items in baggage) and we had some fun with it, but I am asking that we let it go and end it here so the thread can go back to "normal" (whatever that means).

For those that were offended had you said something and not just taken off we would have been happy to stop, no one is here to offend anyone else and none of us are mind readers!!! Walking away and pouting (something I am pretty good at) does nothing to make things better. Not to mention my theory of "what good is it to be mad if no one knows you are mad"! *smile*

End of topic. So what shall we talk about now, Amex? Upgrades? The demise of Delta? *yawn*

I wasn't offended or pouting, I'm just not into the vibrator and sex talk that's been on the last several pages. Actually, I've been pretty bored with most of FT lately... hopefully just a phase.

I had seen it also and it was fine Traveller feel free to put it back, there was nothing wrong with it. Just know I wasnt mentioning you or anyone specific, was just a general comment as I know some felt they had to stay away.

I don't know why she did that. It was a good post. Out of respect, I won't say that it said but I will say something on my own that was related. We don't have to enjoy every topic here to enjoy the thread.

Funny you'd say that...I'm feeling the same way.
Wonder what's up?? Is it just us or is it FlyerTalk?? I used to spend 4 or 5 hours a day on FT...I doubt that I'm on an hour or so per day in the last month.
Or should it be .

OK, I admit it. Me too. Honestly there hasn't been much Delta news lately. And here I thought it was something else for those of you that know about what else has been going on with me.

Dont get me wrong, I was not saying everyone should like or be interested in every topic or thread. My point was more that none of us, myself in particular, was looking to make anyone uncomfortable with the topic. And it appears we did. There is a difference between not being interested and being offended and feeling you have to purposely stay away until the topic changes. My comment was geared more towards those who fell into the second category.

I personally find my interest in FT varies in direct relation to the amount I travel and the amount I am away from home. So Cholula now that you have a life (yes in a way I am envious as I am spending 22+ nights in hotel rooms this month) it makes sense you would be out enjoying it more.

Speaking of travel, will be in the CVG and SLC CRC's today if anyone needs in PM me so we can talk schedules.

Today I'm five days out from my first flights of the year...Domestic for once. For the first time ever(!!!) my upgrades cleared in advance using the upgrade windows...granted, since making FO/GM in 2004, this is only my 3rd domestic itinerary, and one of the other 2 was in Y with immediate upgrade on the 1 domestic segment, and the other I had the outbound segments op-upd in advance due to an incident on an earlier flight (and was 1/2 on the gate lottery on the return flights)

If anyone is interested, I'll be at LGA around noon-1:45 on 1/23, and ATL around 4:30-5:30...not sure which gates/CRCs. Looks like flight 909 to PHX has departed from different terminals each time I've checked flight status.

By looking at DL, CO, and KL, it looks like no, but is there any lounge for use at HOU (Hobby, not IAH)?

Instead of sex talk, maybe we can talk about something a little less controversial, how about Cholula's ole' buddy Ray Nagan?
