Welcome to FlyerTalk, the Delta SkyMiles forum and The Lounge™ in particular, turnpike17 — or, should I say, Matt!

You'll like being elite better when you get your first upgrade.

Welcome to The Lounge. HOpe you hand with us a long time. Where in OK? I grew up in Lawton (SW corner). DL used to have 7 roundtrips a day LAW to DFW. Then again, AA had another 7. Those were the days!

Matt,

About 7 years ago I had a girlfriend in Savannah. Being an equal opportunity lech, I also had one in Milan.

Of course, my trips to SAV, while involving far fewer airports, got me more MQMs as they began in Tel Aviv. I soon realized that I would get more bang for my buck (hmmm, I wonder if that is the right term...) if I flew TLV-MXP-ATL-SAV. With just a few trips each year, I reached Gold Medallion and near-exhaustion.

Not that I want to corrupt you or anything, but I understand that there are quite a few good looking women in MEM...

Ditto that, brothers.

With his 7 segment trips, he's a bona fide Flyertalker. Enjoy, but watch out for those CRJ's

Welcome to FT! Many here question the value of being FT, but I still remember when I first reached that tier.

You've stepped out of the faceless crowd of; the difference in how the airline treads an FO and a non-elite is, IMHO, greater than the difference between FO and PM. In case of irops, or in terms of a shot at U/G's, you've jumped ahead of 92% of the crowd. It does make travel life much easier.

I do not mean to be going around in circles here, but are you beginning to tire giving advice in the Lounge™, or is that just your way of saying that that is how the rubber meets the road?

At the risk of deflating how you imparted your advice, you forgot to mention about having status in hub cities — but I guess that would just be a pain in the axle for you.

Canarsie, get out of the Lounge and return to the Do thread, so we can continue to make your life miserable.

I have already posted there this morning.

I eschew and abhor calling it a “DO”, but “meet” does not seem to be apropos for the event. Should the name be changed?

Eschew...not only does it sound like someone sneezing, but it is such an awkward word to use, like myriad and seldom. I seldom have myriad reasons to eschew using words such as those...

Let's start it in the morning and call it "The Delta Dawn". Each Delta Dame attending would get a faded rose from days gone by. Men without status would be given priority as they are automatically men "of low degree".
