Welcome to The Lounge. HOpe you hand with us a long time. Where in OK? I grew up in Lawton (SW corner). DL used to have 7 roundtrips a day LAW to DFW. Then again, AA had another 7. Those were the days!

Dave
I grew up in a small town 30 minutes west of Tulsa, called Cleveland, although the past 4 years were spent in Stillwater while i was at OK ST. My gf is in a tiny town, Gore, which is just 40 minutes from FSM and about an hou and a half from XNA

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! Im glad to be here!

That was before the airline mergers, when Cleveland was transferred to Ohio in exchange for Canton.

People are still complaining, claiming shenanigans, and demanding a return to the old ways.

Sitting in the TPA SC waiting on my flight to ATL then to HSV. The TPA terminal is pretty warm and I'd change into shorts, except it is currently 64 in HSV and no doubt will be considerably cooler by the time I arrive. My legs are ugly enough without goosebumps.

This was the usual Mother's Day trip to visit my folks. I hope everybody had a chance to visit or chat with their Moms today. I certainly enjoyed my visit. ^

Only my 3rd trip this year, work travel is way down. Next trip is a quick vacation out to LA, and the ATL-LAX legs will be on the 777 confirmed up front both ways using those pretty much useless certificates. Even better they were left over from 2009, and apparently are good through July 1st of this year. So I actually managed to use 3 of 6 PMUs from 2009, which are the first I have ever used. Might yet try to book something using a couple of the remaining three.

(Also watching the Player's Championship, and am sad that Mickelson has not played well today. WIll be happy if Westwood can pull it off!)

I propose Delta Atlanta Frequent Flier Event, or DAFFE. (Had to use Atlanta instead of Airlines since of course it is Delta Air Lines.)

DAFFE is appropriate at many levels.

Good afternoon from Mexico City....

Well, I really can't call it good, as I noticed that my multiple-entry visa has a little bit of an issue:

Expiration: 1 May 2010
Entries: Multiple
And, I'm leaving tomorrow on 10 May 2010...sooo, I wonder if the Mexican Immigration authorities will overlook this oversight. If that doesn't pan out, I guess I'll add another lassiez-passer to my collection.

But, other than that, the day has been going quite well, and it looks like I won't have to do anything this week, therefore, it'll give me a reason to head back up to Maine and close the cabin up in Presque Isle--which will mean that I'm going to be cheating on DL again with US Express (from the looks of the flight combination BOS-PQI, a S340 is in my future).

Greetings from the Gate 11 SC at JFK, where I am currently enjoying a cup of Justin Lloyd Green Tea while I wait to reboard DL107 to PHX, 6:35 departure now with a taxi time of 10pm due to one runway ops. I don't know what they did to this poor Justin fellow to turn him into tea, but this is a mighty fine non-looseleaf tea ^

That allows one to tell someone to go to L twice.

Monitor, don't know if you saw - there's a great photo of you sitting in a garden with the sun in your face at the D.C. Do.
