I also was a long time "Groucho Marx-ian" pennypincher (Why would I want to belong to a club that would have someone like me for a member?). A couple of daypasses a few years ago changed that. If the current noise about reduced Skysaver availability (I'm not convinced) turns into a proven trend, and transatlantic BE award requirement inflation continues, my annual CRC membership may easily be the best redemption bargain.

BTW, for even safer hex you could always go for Dr. Brown & Payne's magic BioElectric shield charms-- (warning: website contains more BS per cubic centimeter than an ABA convention with a fishing tournament)

...and here I thought Dr. Brown’s only manufactured cream soda, as well as other sodas such as ginger ale, black cherry, orange, root beer, and Cel-Ray, which is celery-flavored soda. These varieties are also available in diet versions as well.

Cream is by far my favorite Dr. Brown’s flavor. Nothing goes with New York Kosher delicatessen food, such as a fresh hot pastrami on rye with spicy brown deli mustard, a potato knish, sour pickles and half-sour pickles, better than a Dr. Brown’s cream soda.

Best of all, everything mentioned here is available in The Lounge™ over on that table over there!

Welcome to The Delta Forum Lounge Thread, SlowTrekker!

I was wondering what happened to Charlie Brown after the passing of Charles M. Schulz.

I see that he became a doctor and decided to call himself the more adult Charles W. Brown, according to the link provided by SlowTrekker.

Good grief, Charlies Brown!

Will somebody please pass around the Peanuts?

Too Funny!! I usually really check out the messages to make sure there are no double meanings. I better study up with my school age children. They know all the words.

That post brings up vivid images. Back when I was younger, Orlando had an authentic NY style Deli named Ronnie's, and the authenticity went right down to the staff attitude . Now I have to wait for the occasional biz trip to NY to scratch that itch. (Must have a touch of masochism in me, because no matter how good the food is other places, if it's served by a friendly, dimple cheeked 20 year old it's just not quite right.)

The one thing I sincerely feel is my strongest business skill is being able to size people up rather quickly. My first impressions are hardly ever wrong and they certainly weren't in this case.
Everybody owes me an apology. I'm holding my breath waiting for it.
OK, yes, I remember our discussion on that clearly. Yes, I even remember the golf shirt. Yes, you were right about Mr. Nagan. I was wrong, I admit it. My first impression of him was good...so much for that, I quickly changed my story and every day that goes by just affirms that. So, you were right.

As for giving you an apology, forget about it.

Hello everyone,

I have been getting my trip photos from Kuwait, Jordan, Paris and the UK online and thought I would share them with you all. Our trip lasted 19 days, covered four countries, two continents and 19,000 flight miles. I am not much of a trip reports kind of guy, but if you have any questions about the pics or anything feel free to ask. I uploaded all of my pics from the trip, so there are a lot, especially in Jordan.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the Lounge SlowTrekker!

Glad you finally posted here so I could finally ask if you are really Traveller's alter-ego? Only two of you claiming MLB/MCO as home. How many are in there, Traveller...err, SlowTrekker? Who am I talking to now? Traveller? Or the smart one?

As far as I'm concerned, that's the groveling, sniveling apology I was looking for.
