In 5 years, you're going to be five years older. Do you want to be five years older & doing X or five years older & doing Y? Never let, "if I were younger" stop you from doing what you really want to!

ETA - although, you now have me curious about how old you though I was?
I thought you had a young daughter at home, so early to mid 30's.

Or do I have you confused with someone else?

Actually, on most days I enjoy what I do for a living. The past several days have been a little hellish, with some internal changes at the company increasing the general stress level. Of course, knowing that vacation starts in 6 days is not helping.

If everything had gone as planned, I would be a USMC officer approaching retirement, but allergies got in the way. The next choice was actually wanting to be a long-haul cargo pilot or a State Trooper Medic here in MD, but never had the money to do it.

I actually have four school-age children and am slightly north of your posted profile age (started kids late to allow the wife to finish her DVM).

Me, too, actually, and I hope to continue to do it for many years ahead but mixing in something equally as cool, if not cooler.

It is, with an emphasis on the 'mid'.

Click your own name and look at the mini statistics in the upper right corner. You can edit your details (in the Quick Links above) to remove the year from being displayed.

I just discovered that you do! (Most people don't include the year so I hadn't even thought to look.)

I didn't realize that.

Ref SC, I try and swipe my card any time I can, even if I won't stay in the club do to a short time. I figure anything I can do to help keep clubs open helps other fliers who will use that club. Every swipe helps!

My fav club in the system is MEM, followed by DTW center club. Which is strange since I was a total DL fan before the merger.

For the inside info? Yeah....I'll be honest. I'm jealous. For the ulcers? not so much.

No, you're confusing him with JFE.

Bridgewater State College

Used to be an extention school of Delta Connection Academy, but they ended that relationship in 2008, due to some significant change in the economy. They're now in a building phase and are a bit lacking in some key areas, but the equipment they do have is in top notch condition, and being a state school, their rates are a solid 1/3 less than any private school, they offer a bachelor degree (already got one so can skip all the core stuff) and federal student loans are easily attainable.

No, I know that scene, but thought for some reason that DD has a little girl. Maybe it's someone else, or I'm just making stuff up.

Needless to say, I'm excited!
CONGRATS! I have been wanting to take up learning how to fly for a while now.

I have a 50/50 split in gender of my children, so you are correct that I have a young girl.
