All flights are on my Chicago-based hooker - MSP-ORD-LAS-DEN-MSP. Only one new line (ORD-LAS) to my OpenFlights out of this trip. Though I am also adding MKE-ORD the day before this trip and ORD-CLT the following week

Nice work on the upgrade!

It was a pleasant surprise as I purposely arrived at the gate late, only to be called over to the podium and handed a new BP...
But, soon, I'm hypothesizing, your luck with UA will run out and a medium-haul segment will be on the PHX based hooker airline (can the two hookers be compared)

But if I make it through this year without flying MSP-PHX on US Airways, I'll be impressed with myself.

I did have a couple of painless flights on US Airways Express a couple of months ago - CLE-CLT on a CRJ-700, CLT-MSY on a EMB-175.

That will be a feat as UA likes to have US operate some of the express routes on the east coast

Also helps that my East Coast destinations are typically large cities - BOS, EWR/LGA, PHL and WAS, where I can easily grab UA flights still.

Hence why I tend to fly Delta to the East Coast ;-)

With respect for WAS--is it IAD or DCA?
(Still #5 for departure)

After 2 hours with little UP behind the wheel, a double shot of Woodford.

Just got back from a 14 hour day at the local hospital where Mrs. Cholula has her shoulder replaced this morning. Freak accident a couple years ago where she broke her shoulder prior to a cruise we were to take with the Cornroaster's. The sucker never healed right, finally "died" and had to be replaced.
The patient is doing fine although in a fair amount of pain and with several months of PT before she regains somewhat normal use of the shoulder.
But when I left her an hour or so ago she was pushing the morphine drip pump like a pinball machine while watching the Lakers between bouts of nap attacks.
We expect her home by Friday at the latest.

Give her our best

My four flights on UA today:
1. PAX asking if I would give up my aisle on a CR7 for his CR7 window. Nyet.
2. PAX asking if I would give up my aisle on a CR7 for his CR7 window. Nyet.
3. PAX with bare feet on the first class bulkhead.
4. PAX indignant that I would want to put the armrest down ...

I wandered too close to it today and she nearly took me down with her good arm.
She comes home midday tomorrow and then the long road to recovery begins.
I've told her about the comments here and she's eager to read them and I'm sure will respond with her now one-handed typing when she's up to it.

(A friend's 15 yr old son wants to learn to drive a stick, so called to ask what I have planned for this weekend! Too bad I don't care for Woodford.)
Glad to hear she's already improving. Does the morphine pump come home with her?
