Did you all see the giant sinkhole that ate a Cadilac Escalade? We had a seriously storm issue, LOL!

I may want to buy some clothing while I am in ATL. Do any of you know such a place? (I will buy it on Oct 19th and want to pick it up within a few hours).

But seriously isn't this KINDA a small example of Delta's IT and social media efforts?

Their hearts are in the right place, and they MEAN well...but the execution is just one big FAIL.

Guess http://blog.delta.com/ is an example of 'down time' for the IT dept.

Thank you, kind sir, for recognizing my innate genius.

Actually, it was an accident. I had done the right-click just to get the picture in a separate browser tab so I could enlarge it & see the detail better. I was Googling tobacco to see if the plants bore any resemblance to those on the container. A cigarette container would been my best guess. Eventually I looked up at the URL ... duh!

I entered that while catching up on posts - saw one in an antique store.

Correct, along the wall where the escalators to the baggage claim dumps out. Have never used the service (have only stayed at MGM once).

I wouldn't mind if this was a paid ticket, since they'd get lost and rack up extra MQM's due to diverting... but it's a cheapo award ticket.

Sitting in the JFK lounge now, staring at a table full of pretzel stix and fake cheeze.

What's "The Vegas"?

And is it just my imagination or do you eat, drink and sleep gambling??

Do get me wrong. I think it's cool. Everybody is passionate about something and I admire those who take it up a notch.

Dovster, for example, is passionate about Michelle Pfeiffer.

But at least in your case you can actually participate in your passion.

On another topic, can we all imagine sitting in a first-class throne, sipping a pre-departure adult beverage, glancing at the open cockpit door and seeing these two mugs smiling back at you??

And what's with the super lame-o white gloves? That's something I've only seen Asian pilots wear.

You will be required to wear them as well in late October, my friend, along with some “booties”...

...and I will do everything I can to have a team of FlyerTalk photographers record that suspicious...

...er — I mean auspicious...moment as a memento...

I'm not doing either session of RWT as I wasn't keen on crawling on my hands and knees down a "smoke-filled" aisle or ditching the aircraft via the slide into a pool.

And now I can add the gut-wrenchingly lame-o booties and dainty white gloves as a third reason if, in fact, I need a third reason.

Now if they add Premuim Cocktail and Vintage Wine Tasting, Gourmet FC Meal Selections and/or B/E Seat Control Secrets to the RWT, I might reconsider.

That photograph was not from Road Warrior Training.

Not sure if Dovster is passionate about Michelle Pfeiffer, however, he is into "high quality men's clothing (often designer brands) at low prices and get them altered while you wait".

Truth be told, I haven't stepped into a casino since March (Mohegan Sun) And, that was more of a F&B night that included lots of 150 year old Grand Marnier. (Cuvιe Speciale Cent Cinquantenaire)

Actually, I'm much more of a foodie. Both at home, and away from home. Though, Vegas does fuel a few of my foodie urges.

Then we're not doing anything else either since it's now possible that the fruity booties and dainty white gloves may pop up when they're least expected.

We're barricading ourselves into our Hilton room for the duration of the event.

I think you might appreciate why you might actually want to wear the “booties” and the white gloves.

Hint: This immaculate piece of machinery, painstakingly restored at the particular venue I have in mind, is actually older than your socks — and you will get to meet at least one of the people who actually partook in the restoration...
