Is that the restaurant where the ATL DO will have dinner one evening?
Travel safe and may you have a very enjoyable flight!
Enjoy the salmon and halibut.
Aren't 'dress' and 'normal' oxymorons?
Ouch!
Good luck on the move. Having made over a dozen I know the fun to be had.
You could be on a little six-seater Cessna.
+1
At least no one is shooting at you.
What? You didn't take Cholula and Dovster to work with you?
Too bad a Woodford or two can not help you get through this evening.
Come visit our wine collection. I kid not when I say we have +/- 150 bottles of red and ~ 75 whites cellared.
Good reading. We wish them the very best years to come!
Just depends upon where one is. Not every state prohibits the sale of alcohol before 1 PM on Sundays like FL.
Grappa is gone, so it is time to hit the sack. Probably should have saved the grappa for tomorrow after PT. Nearly two months down and about four more to go.
Not celebrating - have a separate meeting with an official tomorrow. Hence the trip this weekend merely to get in the air / drink at SkyClubs with the BNA 2x MQM and 10,000 RDM bonus.
Headed to Alaska in a couple days to meet up with dozens of other FT'ers at the 127# Cabbage DO.
And not a moment too soon as the thermometer hit 108 here today.
It's 46 degrees and raining in Anchorage overnight.

This trip will be mostly Cholula Longpants.
That sounds a bit like Pippie Longstocking but, as usual, I digress.
I may bring one pair of shorts in case we have a sudden heat wave but, for the most part, I may actually act and dress normal on this trip.

Hey braefoot. Good to hear from you!
It's only about an hour and 45 minute flight from ATL to FLL and thus, if forced to do so, survivable in Coach.
As you observed, there won't be any services upfront except for a few rounds of adult beverages and the ubiquitous snack basket. Plus a bigger seat and first on, first off the aircraft if that's worth anything to you.
Personally I'd go for the FC seat. Otherwise the culture shock of going from BA's First Class to Delta's Coach might be painful.
Plus, as you lie on your deathbed several decades from now, one thing you will never, ever say is: "I wish I hadn't flown in First Class so many times."

And a good evening is extended to the The Lounge™ from the depths of Hades where we were discussing Europe, now back at the condo figuring out this mess. While this may provide healthy discussion on the future of the EU, to me, it just adds to the impending nightmare that is most likely going to come next week. This is because earlier today, I was visited by 2 officials from a certain international body based in NYC. These 2 officials wanted to have me leave and disengage myself from the current dialogue (EU) and re-engage myself into previous work (Africa, mainly the Congo-Kinshasha, Rwanda, Congo-Brazzaville, Angola, etc...) in a matter of minutes and prepare a brief about funding levels for them to take back to their minions before the end of the day. My initial response was a sarcastic laugh--which did not amuse them.
So, as of right now, I have both laptops open--one on the EU and the other on Africa, trying to prepare dual briefs for tomorrow morning. And to top it all of, the minions in NYC want their copy in French and Spanish. I'm thinking that tonight is going to be a 24 hour marathon...
...College was so much easier than this!

I felt like saying something.
The situation it looks like right now is that it will be a day trip. The party is at 3pm on a Sunday. My mom is complaining about missing a day of work for her and a day of school for me (although 10 days in 1 quarter means consequences in my school, I've missed 2 mondays when I was flying back from PBI and ATL.) It would be a long day driving there and then driving right back. Done a daytrio before to the ALB area but that is 2 and a half versus about 4 hours.
In the meantime, I have my eye on this 6:30am LGA-BOS flight. Problem with that is that I would likely be stuck in Boston all day because my mom wouldn't have the time to drive me all the way to school and then drive back to Boston. It is rather expensive in comparison to what JFK has to offer with the RJs...But I would much rather choose the 319s.
You would say that...

Sometimes Sunday afternoon can be very difficult for me to "accomodate around" if I have stayed up late with too much to drink on Saturday night and then have treated myself to too much Champagne at Sunday brunch.
I doubt if that is this poster's problem.
BTW is spelling taught to any of the kiddies nowadays? It certainly was never taught to this one.

Upgrades are good — especially on flights when I know I have no chance of securing a “bump”...
...and two more upgrade notices were just delivered to me via e-mail messages this evening...I am currently in a greater-than-40-hour marathon with no signs of stopping anytime soon, though I hope I get some sleep sometime tonight.
I have not even had a nap...

I did just find out tonight from a friend that I'm expected to lead the team from my local bar to trivia victory at another area bar on Sunday night (as I was twice a member of the Massachusetts High School quiz bowl championship team). This will be immediately after I do a MSP-RDU-JFK-SFO-ATL-RDU-DTW-ESC-IMT-MSP 36 hour marathon. Heaven forbid I let Cowboy Slims in Uptown Mpls down on Sunday night
Who are you and what have you done with the Vuelos that I know?

Last few brunches in NYC have been around 11 (I believe the brunch where I stumbled in to meet monitor was scheduled at 11...). NYC does not serve before noon on Sunday.
OBVIOUSLY POOR PLANNING for all involved.

She's a wonderful lady. I didn't realize I'd met her but apparently I did.
WAIT
So are you telling me that it's very likely possible that this wonderful woman that I met could have been YOUR MOTHER.
Oh my. Dovster will be very excited by this.

What do you think is happening...
And no it is not that.
You never met her. If you did, she would be telling me about how she met this annoying guy.
