I will admit that I am massively disappointed in today's youth when being called a womanizer, in any non-joking format, is taken as a compliment or seen positively. I guess I was raised differently, to see women as companions in life and not throw-away objects. Oh well...

Even when I was a teenager, our lexicon did not uplift womanizing habits. I have no problems with men not kowtowing to a feminist agenda, and can see women as equal yet different in society. Adding womanizing as an acceptable attribute in modern life...I do not, and will never, get it, nor will I allow my boys to behave in a manner which views that lexicon as appropriate.

Is that the name given as the result of the diagnosis of someone with severe and uncontrollable gastrointestinal problems that ultimately become offensive to the olfactory sense?

Canarsie finally comes up with a pun joke that I actually think us really funny. Despite rumors to the contrary, it appears that he actually does have a sense of humor. ^

Well, it took several years to do it, but I knew it could eventually be done.

Now if I could only make Franny laugh, my life might be considered complete...

The fact is that your grammar was atrocious, yet instead of asking me how or why it was atrocious in order to learn for the future — which would be the obvious thing to do — you instead keep incessantly insisting that I insulted you.

I will not explain myself yet again to you.

Furthermore, from this point on, I refuse to attempt to help or assist you in the future.

I am done. I have better things to do, like make monitor laugh, even though he used the word us instead of is in the quote above...

Well, I think better wording could have been used. But Thank You for clarifying -- I have a better understanding now and I see where I've been going wrong.

Why can't you get a bike or socialize during the Jewish holidays?

From what you have posted in the past, I understood that you -- like me -- are not extremely religious, but even the most Orthodox do not have restrictions during most of the holiday period.

Rosh HaShanah (Sundown on the 8th to Sunday on the 10th): The usual rules for the Sabbath are in effect.

Yom Kippur (Sundown on the 17th to Sundown on the 18th): The usual rules for the Sabbath are in effect plus fasting).

From sundown on the 10th until sundown on the 17th, you are free to make purchases, get on line, ride a bicycle, or do anything you normally are free to do.

Because, Grasshopper, I always keep my word. I told you a very long time ago that I would not call you that if you did not join in the the joking and insults in the Lounge.

If you did, I said, then I would return to calling you "Grasshopper".

Nobody gets a free ride here.

Actually, you might not have an idea just how much time and effort I had to expend in order to have this thread created in the first place.

Cholula witnessed part of it in person.

As a reminder, next month marks the fifth birthday of The Lounge™...

I can't answer that question but I can tell you she had good taste.

When Adam mentioned that he was thinking of joining the USMC, Eve informed him that "I wouldn't have sex with a Marine even if he is the only man on earth."

Fortunately for the human race, Adam joined the Army instead.

Ah, the joys of use or lose it accrued PTO...

Just calculated that, if I allow myself to roll the 40 hour maximum PTO rollover that my company allows at the end of the year, I still have to take 92 hours of PTO before the end of the year. Now, I just have to figure out when it makes sense to do so...
