The time I went up there from FAI it was on AS but I credited the miles to my TWA FF account.

You can imagine what those ended up being worth.

I only had about 8K of them left when AA bought them out and nothing in my AA account with no intention of flying AA so I just let them lie there and expire. I also lost 11000 UA miles by expiration about 20 years ago and have not flown UA more than a half dozen times in that 20 years, but when I did the miles went to US.

Amen!

I did not go to the office today (our company gets New Years Eve and New Years Day off...since NYD was Saturday, we got it observed today). Took son #2 down to the USMC Museum, watched him learn some history and fire an M16A2 (laser trainer version). Then visited the National Firearms Museum for more firearms history education.

Just got home a little while ago from a long, but enjoyable day!

Naturally, a fun time would be had by all.

But, I'm back in RI...without my bags. The sad part is that they made it all the way from SGN, transited KUL and CDG and made it to IAD. The issue is that they failed to make it from DL Counter in IAD (I moved them from the IAB to the DL counter) to PVD. Isn't there something wrong with this picture?

Anyhow, what made the IAD-DTW-PVD worse was the fact that there was no Woodford on board the IAD-DTW, and the DTW-PVD was on a CR2 (all 613 miles of it). It's times like this that I curse AF for not putting me on AF376. However, if I was not on AF38, then I could not take full advantage of the La Premiere service. It's a Catch-22 situation.

At least the good news is that I'm taking a few days off from leaving the US as I've been named to the RI America's Cup World Series Organizing Committee, and I get to meet with the gremlins on Wednesday. The inherent issue is whether to fly direct on my PHX-based hooker airline into DCA, see whether the ORD-based hooker finally accepts my PHX-based hooker status into IAD or try and risk it with DL into any of the WAS airports. Maybe if I fly through IAD, I could just retrieve my bag from the grip of the B Concourse.

WHAT?!? They're going to compete with WN and US. Maybe this will be the beginning of the end of my US account...

Now my interested is peaked. Especially since DL realizes that I am a *big deal*

However, for tomorrow's adventure out to DC, it appears that the non-stop is not possible. Therefore it looks like the PHX-based hooker will win this time. It appears that the change will happen in April/May.

Uh-oh! It going to have more tougher competitions against WN/US. Wow! I didn't even know that. I just saw it from entire a.net forums by couple weeks ago.

There is no mystery here actually. TSA and "your safety" is probably the cause of your bags disappearance. It caused my bags to go astray after they made the trip: MDC-SIN (overnight transit- kept bags checked in)-HGK-ORD last summer. I took them over after customs to continue their journey to JFK, but did not get any of the bags to come out! Three days later I got them along with a love note from TSA, and a bag that had nothing packed as I had packed it!

Excellent and congratulations. Will be looking forward to the pre-announcement of the announcement of the America's Cup Boat DO!

Good morning all from RDU SC. Good thing it is AM.....no bartender on duty (ha ha). I thought DL was going to no bartender? As I type, DL agent is doing the drinks....what's up with that?

That said.......

Nice club, across from C3 in the new terminal. Across the hall is the AAdmirals Club for those so inclined.

MKE seems to be picking up. I fly ATL - MKE next later this week....3 days out...no upgrade...that's a first on this route!

Travelers is a miserable, miserable insurance company. They are still insisting (in writing) they won't pay for my rental car despite their driver being cited for rear-ending my car due to "inattentive driving".
