This is assuming that IB syncs their servers to a standard NTP server, which ultimately has its time set to a standard atomic clock.

What I don't understand is how the post previous to mine ended up with a later timestamp (12:01am ET, versus my 12:00am ET). Mine did take a minute to submit, which seemed odd--a database hiccup or something.
I'll maintain that I hit "submit" first but it took the database a minute to catch up. So yes, I succeeded at welcoming in the new year for you all.
Or maybe that should be, "for y'all," given as how I am currently in the Ozarks (where it is actually 2012)...
I also fully understand that the only person who will appreciate this milepost is Canarsie. The rest of all y'all can go back to whatever y'all were doing before.
