I don't have a tattoo joke handy but here's a CA joke:
LIFE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
San Diego, California . . .
A Highway Patrolman pulled a car over and told the driver that because he
had been wearing his seat belt, he had just won $5,000 in the statewide
safety competition.
"What are you going to do with the money?" asked the policeman.
"Well, I guess I'm going to get a driver's license," he answered.
"Oh, don't listen to him," yelled a woman in the passenger seat. "He's a
smart Alec when he's drunk."
This woke up the guy in the back seat who took one look at the cop and
moaned, "I knew we wouldn't get far in a stolen car."
At that moment, there was a knock from the trunk and a voice said, in
Spanish, "Are we over the border yet?"

On DL, after my first couple years flying them and making Royal Medallion and Flying Colonel...and later PM..., I've been at 99+% on upgrades. Out of many thousand flights I can think of only a couple where I wasn't up front. And those were on canceled flights where I was rebooked just minutes before my new flight.

Yes all PC's have Free Wifi, NWA is waiting for the CO vs Massport case to be settled before they push the envelope but they have free wifi in all clubs where allowed by the airports
From another thread... why are people so afraid of change? There are some folks who are certain they are correct even though they have no data to support their theories and actual data disproves their theories...why are these ignorant people ignorant to the fact that they are ignorant?

I've always been an upgrade junkie....that's my lame-o claim to fame. Some folks on FT are mileage junkies, low-fare junkies, bump junkies, mileage-run junkies, aircraft junkies and, in the case of Dovster, female junkies.
At one time, I knew and used every trick in the book to get up-front before the days of routine PM upgrades.

Posting frequency vs. life
I have noticed a trend over the 1 1/2 years that I have been a member.
Some members seem to post all of the time especially when there is a hot issue.
My question is simple. When do you sleep, eat, work, or find time to fly? Or have you solved time-shifting and are able to multi-task in different times zones simultaneously.
On another note, my 18 year old daughter just called from SFO as she was boarding a flight to CVG. She is a lapsed FO but her ticket still showed her as one. The GA kept asking her if she wanted an upgrade. She politely declined and said she didn't think she was eligible anymore. I have seen them trying to sell upgrades (ATL - AUA $100) but never outright just give them away. (I know that may irk a few people here.) Maybe the GA felt she needed rest as she just flew in from Shanghai.
By the way, to all the dads here, Happy Father's Day, you've earned it especially if you've lived through teenagers.

Unless you practice "Ignorance with confidence"
Then all will be well
