Dovster, your image has been going down the crapper at a rapid rate since the day you joined FT.

I won't deny that but isn't that better than what Traveller has -- having your image facing you when you are on the crapper?

I never had a room like that, do they really have rooms with mirrors on the ceiling? And come on... I'm sure others have had the "toilet" problem in hotels that I describe here.

Okay, I'm going to hold you to that. I really want to know the answer.

I'd rather have my image facing me than Cholula's image.

I guess I have to agree with Traveller somewhat on this mirror thingo.
There are probably certain things in life that don't require continous positive reinforcement via a mirror.
Her example is definitely one of them.
The other is waking up alone at Caesar's Palace in LAS and staring at your sleep-starved, hung-over carcass in the ceiling mirror.

Well, it sure looks like Traveller stopped smoking just in time so that she can still stay at that famous Courtyard in BHM, one of her favorite places ^

Now if we could only guess who will have a problem if the Ramada chain does the same thing as Marriott.

Yes and it annoys me too. Often it is on the closet door opposite the toliet, I'll open the closet door so it is at least over to the side and not straight in front of me. It is an incredibly bad room design but very common

The Lebanon thread just overtook this one in views. Right now, the score is 134,029 to 133.902.

Of course, the Lounge thread has 10 times the number of posts.

Now I know why you've never mentioned your server to us.

Just for "fun" ( I'm easily entertained), I recorded the page views on the Lebanon thread 24 hours ago at 118,698. So we had over 15K unique viewers in the past day.

Here are the remaining hurdles:

The Lebanon thread will easily move to 4th place tomorrow and to 3rd place over the weekend.
Breaking into 1st and 2nd place will be a major task as both those threads are still growing.
I know this whole tracking thing is an asinine project but it's still interesting.
At least to us geeks.

The Lebanon thread has also required more proactive moderation that any other 3 or 4 you listed put together, and from what I can see that moderation has really been handled well. It's kept the thread from turning omniferous many times.

And it's good dovster the phoenix rose from the ashes just in time to help make that thread happen.
