Around here, Wit simply does not fly anymore.

Instead, Wit decided to succumb to in his interest in sewing.

He is now referred to as a Knit Wit.

Based on his last report, his life is merely sew-sew, which is why he was needling around with the idea of posting in this thread at a later date.

I did not cotton to the fact that the Knit Wit was in stitches, laughing at the mere thought. However, Knit Wit admitted that he was o-pin to the idea.

Why do you feel compelled to needle this person, every darn chance you get?
It just seams you are always trying to buttonhole him with your comments.
Maybe you should not be so crewel, offer him a hand, before he bolts.

As long as she only said the answer is still "no," but didn't say, "The answer will always be no," Dovster still thinks he has a chance and will be upping the e-mails to 300 a day.

That’s a yarn and you know it.

I would tell you to zip it closed, but it is against my cloth to do so.

Is there a pattern in this thread? Canarsie keeps bobbin in with another quip, meeting measure for measure. Two snaps up!

Anyone else going to challenge Canarsie? Hmm.. frayed knot...

I think Canarsie is just trying to tie up the Lounge so I don't come in and discuss cooking.

Well, if you'll bring me a Grey Goose martini, you and I can talk turkey. Sit next to me, and maybe we can trade stuffing secrets.

I am currently looking into ways to properly prepare a Japanese-Filipino dish.

Do I have to soak it in sake to get it the way I want it?

Cookin' 'n Stitchin'

Ohmigosh, Mikey, you mentioned that bird-in-a-bird thing and I found that it's not that uncommon.... I didn't know these existed...

turduckencorpheail, Osturduckencorpheail, or in the simplest form a chuckey.

A turducken is a de-boned turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed with a small de-boned chicken. The cavity of the chicken and the rest of the gaps are filled with, at the very least, a highly seasoned breadcrumb mixture or sausage meat, although some versions have a different stuffing for each bird. Some recipes call for the turkey to be stuffed with a chicken which is then stuffed with a duckling. It is also called a chuckey.
OK, now .... but ... WOULDN'T I BE STITCHING these FOWLS all night long to make dinner....???? Or am I doing a blonde thing here.... and missing something...???

In addition to the aforementioned chuckey, some enthusiasts have taken it a step further, and come up with the turduckencorpheail. This is a standard turducken, which is then stuffed with a cornish game hen, which is then stuffed with a pheasant, and finally stuffed with a quail. The turduckencorpheail is not for the faint of heart; it is an extremely time consuming endeavor, as birds of the proper size must first be obtained, and then prepared.
Somehow and for some strange (and perhaps scary) reason, I am waiting for Dov to reply to this....

A little sake might enhance the dish, but too much will only overpower it. You don't want to ruin your 'dining' experience...
