Hey, the booms I heard were at 6:18am, so if you went RIGHT back to sleep, you had 12 minutes more sleep, not just 5.

Wow! I am happy that I don't live in Florida. I would hate to hear booms.

We like to hear them. We then know that everything is okay with the shuttle.

(Well I'd rather hear them at noon, not 6:18am!).

Whereas you are correct that I had 12 more minutes , that's just not the difference I am looking for.

Of course that's also assuming we know it is the shuttle landing and not someone beating down your front door with a sledgehammer.

Have I told you lately how much I don't like you (or anyone that gets to sleep later than I do and rubs it in my face)? Don't worry though. The feeling usually passes by Saturday when I finally get to sleep in.

Where have you been lately? You couldn't turn the TV on in the past 2 weeks w/o knowing that the shuttle was coming home this morning.

^ That one made me laugh Maybe this will make you feel better but probably not. I get up at 5:30 every morning including the weekend without an alarm clock regardless what time I go to bed. I long for the days when I could sleep to noon

Well, I've heard that you should never delay the end of a meeting, or the beginning of a cocktail hour. And that sounds good to me.... !!!

So, today, we have the Atlantis Cocktail:

1.5 oz white rum
1/2 oz orange liqueur (eg cointreau)
1.5 oz fresh orange juice
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Dash of chambord (raspberry liqueur)

Shake with ice and serve in a martini or cocktail glass. Garnish with slice of orange, let a fresh raspberry sink to the bottom, just like the mythical island .....

Anyway - welcome back, Atlantis and of course, Steve MacLean!

Actually, Missy, that pisses me off even more because you reminded me that however much I love to sleep in my body is now programmed to get up with the sun no matter what. There's no hangover strong enough to keep my eyes closed past 7am these days. Believe me, I've tried.

One Atlantis Cocktail please! Better make mine a double!!!
