www.hertz-transfer.eu -- Anyone used it?
Hello,
Hertz has a website for cars in European countries that need to be returned to their home countries. I'm guessing it was set up when the volcano went off in 2010, but the lists of cars on the site are still being updated pretty much daily. I'd like to use it but when you call the number (which is different for each country where the cars are currently located), the person on the other end seems rather vague about the set-up. On ringing the UK number a month ago just to make some general enquiries, the Irish bloke on the other end said he thought it only cost 1 (surprising) and you get 48 hours to deliver the car to a Hertz office that you can specify in its home country, but that you have to telephone the specific office where the car is currently located.
Just wondering whether people have experience of this and what hoops (if any) had to be jumped through!
Many thanks.

Not sure who's used it.
But in this thread, the service is mentioned and several people talked about trying it http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hertz...ff-vienna.html
