I am about to transfer about 60k AA to HH. I've read some nasty, horrible stuff about people's experiences with points.com. Copy everything, don't trust them, call after five days if yer transfer didn't go thru.
Just wondering if all y'all did that to protect yourself..
How was your experience transfering? How long did it take for the miles to post?

Did I had a bad dream? Why am I under the impression that AA to HH transfer was no longer an option after Dec 31st 2006?
I went to the HH website and found that it's still available, but I'm quite certain I read something in 2006 on FT that the option was over after Dec 31st....

How long for AA miles to transfer to Hilton points?
I did a search, but didn't find anything recent.
I have an award stay in 12 days, and transferred some AA miles to points 2 nights ago. Will they make it in time for my award?

I took 4 days for me for the transaction to registered in HHonors member activities page. However, it took a lot longer (about 2 weeks) before it is part of the total HHonors points for dedemption page but the welcome page of HHonors did show the update total as soon as the transaction registered. Weird!!!

I requested the transfer Saturday night, the miles were deducted Monday and the points posted 2 days later on Wednesday evening (they weren't there when I got home from work at 5PM Eastern).
So pretty quick overall.

I just converted 20,000 AA miles to "hopefully" 40,000 HH points on the AA site a few days ago. Today, it shows up on AA that the miles have been deducted for the HH "points". On Hilton site though, no points show. How long does it usually take to show online? I need to book a hotel award soon.
