Now it’s pricier than Andaz. I’m pretty sure it will be cat 6 hotel in next adjustment.

Sorry, didn’t realize the out of context IC rates/quotes.

Was at the property on preview and was talking to management

Club lounge will be 10 Scotts until further notice.

The gym space has been doubled in size

There is a jacuzzi pool and a full olympic pool now.

Straits kitchen has a new 'bar' area, but largely unrenovated.

Sorry no photos.

According to the hotel website, it's bookable from 1 August but I can see rates from mid to late July.

Curious, but surely with such construction noise will be a considerable issue.

Keen to know just how much is operational at present.

Staff at Andaz are now saying the first operational date is 10th July.

How much of the lobby and common area got renovated? Surprised to hear that they didn’t do much to straits kitchen. The lobby, common area, and restaurants definitely could have benefited from a more modern makeover.

The lobby is VERY modern now. Had a peek in one of the rooms. Really well done renovation.

Do you think the GH is a better option than the Andaz?

It depends what you're after. GH is close to shopping in Orchard Road and generally more like a full service business hotel. There's a club level on property.

Andaz is in the hip part of neighbourhood, and no lounge. They only give you a voucher for standard drinks only.

Each to their own.
