Fall 2019 opening

Andaz hotels draw upon surrounding neighborhoods to craft distinctively local experiences, fully immersing guests in each inspiring destination through unique expressions of local culture. Really wondering when this will open. Plan to be there in November.
website says „fall“, on instagramm they keep mentioning „summer“, when I ask for more specific dates, they say „soon, keep checking back“... aarrghh...

Drove past a few weeks ago. It was at night and it had rained several days straight but it looked pretty similar to the last photo on this topic taken in October 2018. Not close to being done. I'm beginning to wonder how long it can stay in the current state before wood and other materials begin to rot or have other problems....

I’m in Palm Springs this weekend- work is definitely progressing on the guest room levels, compared to a year ago when I was here, but a lot still has to be done on the ground floor (it’s not even enclosed yet). I’d estimate at least a year before opening.

In Palm Springs for the weekend. Looks like things are progressing but not as fast as we would like.

Does anyone know when we will be able to book? I want to book for Christmas time as I would love to escape the Midwest winter.

I've never seen the construction of a small building take so long.

I doubt it will be open in 2019 to be honest. When pulling up the hotel on hyatt.com I quickly saw a "opening early 2020", grayed out... but I cannot reproduce that any more nor can I find it any longer.

I also keep asking the hotel over insta and FB, the only answer is "soon, check back again" or similar. not very helpful. We were originally planning this November, not pushed out to May. hope it will be open by then

This property will be very much in demand! Today the Agua Caliente tribe who owns the casino just down the street in downtown Palm Springs held a press conference. They announced they are building a 250 million dollar arena seating 10,000 on 16 acres between the casino and the Andaz. They are also planning to get an expansion team in the AHL (American Hockey League) which will be in the same division as teams in Ontario, CA and San Diego. The tribe is partnering with the ownership of the new NHL team in Seattle. The team will be the top minor league affiliate for the Seattle organization. Live nation will also be part of this project ensuring many livr music events will be held there. The arena is scheduled to open in Fall 2021. It will be within walking distance of the Andaz. The future of downtown Palm Springs looks bright!
