Go earlier for breakfast, problem solved. P.S. the past three days I ate there at 7:30am, 8am, 8:30am, never a line
No disputing VFTW's exaggerating, but there's also nothing I want to do less than be awake, let alone eat breakfast, in Vegas at 7:30AM (:

Crushing any promo or advantage play into the dirt until it's microscopic rubble and endless discussion of same is VERY typical of FT, so I'm not sure a plea for 'rationality" is going to do much.

hell even 10am is a strech for me after a evening on the casino floor 😀 but I guess the solution to that is go to bed at 9pm, Ill make sure to tell my casino host why my gaming drops drastically 🤣🤣 just kidding of course ai might have made a effort for the steak and eggs but the new menu is a if Im awake kind of thing, not a set my alarm thing

If I would wait til 9:30am for breakfast, I might as well skip hash house and wait for another half hour til 10am when KJ opens to have dim sum brunch instead

I don't understand truly how complicated an entree and one side is and how elite members
can take advantage of that in the first place.
OMG Globalists gaming the system
I had a salad one morning and scrambled eggs on another morning.Think I had a side of ham with the eggs
They had no bottled water so drank tap water
Seriously less than two or three dollars worth of ingredients.Sure the owners are paying a 3rd party as in Hash House.
Assume Rio is not paying the 3rd party listed menu prices
On the second stay they removed the biscuit that came with the eggs.
Didn't eat it anyway the first time thought it was mediocre commercial at best
How hard is that to deliver?

Again if they are worried that guests would order steak and eggs back to my original thought charge the difference
between what the property is willing to offer as a daily credit and move on.
I've seen a number of Hyatt properties do this in recent years as they try and reduce costs
as much as they can without losing loyalty/return guests.

Why this has become a horse and pony show has fully escaped me and truly have no desire to return
to the property but continue to watch all their ongoing knee jerk reactions. Its been handled very poorly in my perception.
That said I continue to be intrigued/interested in what these terrible gaming Globalists
did that caused the property to have a melt down and end up with elite status breakfast dysfunction for lack of better words.
Maybe I'm missing something

The bad press is probably great for the Rio. Any press is good for them since no one really thinks about the property much.

Has there been bad press, other than a few blogs and here? Doesn't seem to have deterred people from staying there based on continued reports here.

I'm honestly not seeing or reading anything about Rio that's worse than other Vegas casino hotels at the similar price points. People who don't care about Hyatt will continue to stay there based on the price and people who care about Hyatt will continue to stay there for the EQN.

Lots of reports of bedbugs. But overall I think Rio is at a disadvantage because of its far off strip location. Excalibur sucks too but it’s on strip so much more appealing at similar price points, I wouldn’t stay at either but that’s personal preference.

Where are the reports of bedbugs at Rio ? Is it this year or years past ??? Cause back in February, it was reported bedbugs were existed for strip hotels only and exclude Rio ! You realized all 1500 rooms at Ipanema tower had just finished complete renovation since March 1st right ?

FYI, Rio is NOT far off strip at all, if you walk it is 20 min to Bellagio that's all cause I have done that back in April when it wasn't as hot compare to now, and on 202 flamingo bus it is just one stop from Caesars palace, and by car it is not even 5 minutes, have you been to Rio at all ? As it seems like you are using information when Rio had a bad reputation when it was still owned under Caesars

Wanted to provide an update.

We decided to try breakfast again today and actually it was pretty good. I ordered the same as last time but service was great. They came around multiple times and refilled my coffee. My order was actually completed the way I requested. Everything was hot.

last time I was not seated in the globalist area, and perhaps why I may have been treated differently. In all the food was not disgusting but acceptable. Similar quality to my Hyatt place I travel to for work.

Hope this helps!

Recent review of renovated rooms by LV bloggers. Service recovery was non existent as they refused anything except sending cleaners by.

I’ve been to Rio multiple times even recently, have not stayed there recently. You are entitled to your own opinion I’m just pointing out why many people avoid it. It’s on the other side of the freeway. You can try and tell people palms isn’t far either as it’s only 10 mins walk from Rio but in reality it’s also very much way off strip.

If you like Rio you like it no big deal.

Rio being off strip definitely changes our plans massively traveling with kids. Beds are uncomfortable, AC blows but doesn’t circulate so the room stays warm which is odd.

Breakfast is decent, pool is decent though we’ve stayed 3 times since March and haven’t ever seen the right side pool open which is odd, best thing is the price point.

Booked a room for this week 2 nights for $35/night average checked again the morning of check in and went up to $102/night average not including resort fee which is waived for Globalist.

Would I stay at Rio if there was no Hyatt Affiliation? No.

Also, one thing I noticed and was told by a Vegas local while at the pool is that just by signing up for their Players Club, not even gambling $1 that card gets you free access to Rio’s pools for anyone (non-hotel guests) not just locals according to their website. I thought that was very odd and could definitely lead to overcrowding on busier days.

This look pretty good!!! Not sure what all the drama is about. For $50 a night, I expect a bagged breakfast for Globs. Heck, this look better than the Starbucks voucher you get at the Bethesda Hyatt Regency for Glob breakfast.

I don't gamble and go to LV for the shows and stay there as the first leg of our trips to National Parks so 8 am breakfast is fine. Definitely will stay here on our next trip (newly renovated rooms, Glob benefits, $50 and night plus no resort fee is a no brainer!).
