I meant a one way match since it's Hyatt now and not a partner... mostly. Like, Hyatt status gives a rio status one way only.

As for perks, I think there are some minor benefits and perks which may incentivize some people to gamble/more.

any reference to OJ, beverages, specialty coffees are ommited....
a recipe for disaster
I mean, the menu states pick a hot drink and a cold drink, which is in compliance with WOH requirements.

Unlikely - more like elites take advantage of the perks without spending any dollar gambling.

These are too rich to be handed out like candy.

they could do a promo for Hyatt members if they wanted like say 20%/40%/60% lower thresholds for the first yeat for discoveridt/explorist/globalist to entice them to play at theRio but maybe they just feel like they dont need to. I have to check but it seems I am not that far from azul if memory serves me correctly 🤣

I think that they learned that people who stay 60 nights in a Hyatt is generally different from people who spend a lot in casinos. Getting the former to casinos doesn’t actually increase their gambling by much.

could very well be, I am most likely not the average player, I go where the best deals and promos are, I still tend to go to MGM still since they give me Gold status 🤷‍♂️

You are thinking from the guest's perspective. Now think of it from Rio's perspective.

I'm sure this is done because some might have a guest in the room (e.g. a 15 year old child traveling with parents) who will be charged for the meal and beverages.

am currently here on a 4 night stay. was able to get upgraded to a renovated 1 BR suite. casino was pretty dead but the renovated rooms are great. there is a walgreens/chick-fil-a a block away, starbucks in-casino, and food hall which i haven't tried yet.

Has anyone here tried Kang's Kitchen? If so, is it worth the $50 pp AYCE? Looking at the prices just ordering off the menu wouldn't make sense. For KBBQ we usually go to Gen on the Strip which is pretty good quality for$36pp including things like Ribeye, Galbi/Kalbi, and Filet Mignon so that would be my comparison KBBQ nearby.

"Nearby" in Las Vegas from the Rio should mean Chinatown on spring mountain instead of... well, anything on the strip which is always 2x the price and half the quality it should be. Especially for Asian food choices.

I’m not expert but I definitely think this would qualify as “‘nearby” in any major US city.

Gen for us has always had much better quality and pricing than any other KBBQ on Spring Mountain. They have a few locations in the Vegas area with the Strip one being the closest to Rio. There used to be a Gyu Kaku on Spring Mountain which was good Japanese BBQ with a good Happy Hour, but they closed due to the pandemic.

Anyways, hoping for some feedback on Kang’s as I don’t really feel like dropping $200 (Family of 4) for lesser quality KBBQ.

I would recommend Gangham BBQ, which is a short uber / lyft ride away: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4WPecwnAGFhhYdjC8
They have three AYCE menus from $28 to $48, with the more expensive menu featuring wagyu, lobster, etc. Lots of options.

It definitely looks interesting - How would you weigh Gangnam against the Gen KBBQ on the Strip if you’ve had it? (The Strip location has a different menu and better quality than other Gen locations).

I was only considering Kang’s because we got a marketing offer for $100 F&B credit so it puts a big dent into the $200 it would cost us. But we could also use it at the food court and save KBBQ for Gen or Gangnam.
