A few months ago I asked their FB page when it was going to open and they said January...however I doubt that since nothing has been announced. Was hoping to use my last suite upgrade there before expiration in Feb

At this rate, doubt anyone of us will be using a DSU for Feb 2017....
So here's hoping the property will finally be open by Feb 2018

I drove by this May/June - saw construction definitely, but not much activity. And frankly, knowing the current state of local tourism and the hospitality market there I'm not too sure they'll speed up things.
What worries me the most is that they pulled the Park Hyatt Marrakech website, which is now referring back to Hyatt.com. Looks like someone is having second thoughts..

I also saw that the dedicated website was gone, the developers site for the villas is still there but the English content is gone.... it looks like this won't happen anytime soon, if at all.

back on the map:
Park Hyatt Marrakech will bring a personalized, luxury experience to the impressive Al Maaden residential and leisure development and will be the third Hyatt hotel in Morocco. The 120-room hotel will be set against the spectacular backdrop of the Atlas Mountains and will feature a resort complex and Moroccan garden-inspired 18-hole golf course, designed by award-winning golf course designer Kyle Phillips. Renowned architects Didier Lefort, Eduardo Gaggiano, Cheong Yew Kuan and Patrick Genard will collaborate to design the development.

Because like all Hyatt press releases it's all just words without any follow-up. This hotel has been announced before with an opening date in 2011, 2012, 2013.... and now 2019.
So there are straight lies and press releases.... in this case it could be the same.
