Same here for me. I accidentally clicked on the link and it auto registered me for the 2K for 2 night promotion without any opportunity for me to consider if I would like to select 10K for 4 nights offer. Have written in to IHG AMB centre to see if they can change but I don't think i am hopeful on this. The email is pretty misleading if you do not read carefully, in which I had fallen for it. I thought that by clicking on the link allows me to select the campaign I would like to enrol into.

it seem, this is this promotion:
2K points every 2 Nights or 10K points every 4 nights. (ihg.com)
But you must select, which bonus you would like to receive. It is a copy of the promotion of last summer.

I registered the 2K in error and my friend registered for the 10K and both of us received the email 5 minutes within registration around 10 hrs ago.

The promotion is similar to the one IHG ran last year. And I read it as any four nights - not four nights in a row
It does not say four consecutive qualifying nights
.... If a member registered for the 10,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 10,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete four (4) Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period. ...

I agree it does not need to be consecutive as with past similar promos. A bit annoyed I did not go to the full email, the 4 night link was cutoff on the summary!

Last year's promo was a pain. I had to do a retroclaim for the 10,000 points and they took some time to turn up. Called and got a decent female agent in the Philippine call center.

Yup.. wish that they can run simpler campaigns.. These actually spoil the goodwill that they are trying to build and do not entice customers who are frustrated with the campaign fulfillment process.
