Honduras HI/IC?

Staying in San Pedro Sula next week. I was wondering if any FTers have test driven the rooms at either the IC or the Holiday Inn downtown. Any help would be, well...helpful. Not much info on Honduras, so any info would be great.

I stayed at the SPS IC last year on business. The hotel is ok- decent lounge on the top floor. There is a mall (with a casino) attached to the hotel. Other than that the area is not particularly safe for unescorted gringos- particularly if you are there on business. The Arab Club in SPS is a nice/safe place to eat, if your schedule permits a long, leisurely dinner.

Thanks

Thanks, I sense a tone in yer voice when you say the hotel was just OK. I had that feeling from the photos, and the view of the mall, etc. Did you get an impression of the Holiday Inn? I understand it is a new highrise in the center of the city. But that, and a free airport shuttle is all I know about.
Thanks for the info, I honestly didn't think I'd get a hit on a Honduras thread.
