Overnight layover at ICN. Reclaim Luggage?
Hello all. We are traveling from SRQ-ATL-ICN-KIX. We arrive 4pm at ICN, and have booked a stay at the transit hotel inside Terminal 2. Our flight from ICN to KIX departs 9:30am next morning. The flight from SRQ is Delta, and all others are on Korean Air.
My question is: Will I need to pass through immigration/Security and collect my luggage, or will it be held and transfered to the ICN-KIX flight?
Im concerned that ive made a mistake in booking the transit hotel pre Security.
Any advice appreciated! Thank you!

If it is on one ticket/PNR, it will certainly be checked through if you request it.
On 2 tickets, with an overnight connection, it most probably will not be.
In that case, go to the airline transfer desk and ask them to handle it.
Only if they refuse would you have to pass immigration, claim and re-check.

Upon arrival in ICN we'll have to go through the "arrivals" process, as opposed to the "transfer" process, as we will not yet have a boarding pass for the final leg of the trip at that time. I just didn't notice when I booked this trip months ago. Oh well.
We'll book a room at a nearby hotel for the overnight. If I were 20 and traveling alone, I'd sleep in ICN on my bags, but we're old.
Thank you for the reply!
