Parking @ LAX: https://book.flylax.com/book/LAX/Parking or LAX Official Airport Parking

Recommendations for selecting booking times and total booking periods: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34711926-post186.html
Note also that for booking close-in and and around holiday peaks, some of the off airport lots may offer advance rates that are very competitive with the LAX operated lots.

Interactive map of LAX on-airport (Central Terminal Area) parking status is linked here (includes links to nearby off airport parking if you scroll down)

Economy and Budget Lot Shuttle Tracker (bottom link, light blue) (as of 10/25/23 it seems to mostly show Budget Lot shuttles and some Economy Lot shuttles don't show up on the tracker)

Note that parking rates in the CTA structures increased on 10/19/21.
Economy Parking (structure in part of the old lot C location) opened 10/19/21.
Prebooking is available at substantial discounts for the CTA ($22 vs $60/day) and Economy ($15 vs $35/day) parking at this link

See most recent posts in thread for prebooking discount codes offered for airport operated parking lots.
Stupid Parking Tricks: The exit of P7 is onto World Way very close to the airport exit, making it difficult to get to the SB Sepulveda exit at peak times. P1 and P6 are nearly as close and exit onto Center Way, which is generally light traffic and easy to maneuver to the airport exit.

For prebooking, you must book at least 6 hours before your arrival.
For the Economy Lot, your QR code becomes active 4 hours prior to your booked arrival time
For CTA lots, the QR code becomes active 2 hours prior to your booked arrival time.

Note that access to the Economy Lot is only via Westchester Pkwy to Jetway Bl - there doesn't appear to be any shortcut via 96th.

Fly LAX Official Twitter Feed with general information.
Fly LAX Stats Official Twitter feed with parking lot occupancy and time to T1 from points outside the airport and time through the U on the upper and lower levels.

Park 'N Fly @ Park One and LAX Lot C are permanently closed.
Lot E is permanently closed as of 7/26/21

With the limited availability of parking at LAX as travel picks back up, Van Nuys or Union Station+Flyaway bus may be a reasonable alternative:
Union Station Parking (at Patsouras Plaza) is $8/day. Make sure you're in Union Station East (the underground facility) and fill out and drop off the downloadable form if you'll be there longer than 3 days.
The Consolidated "LAX Flyaway Bus" Thread (2014 - Date) has up to date information on taking the flyaway bus; parking is $6 a day.

P7 access

Is anyone familiar with the current state of parking space access in P7? I've read that only a subsection of the garage is accessible from each entrance when you're parking there with a reservation, but I don't know if that's still accurate. It looks like there is still a departures level entrance as well as multiple arrivals level entrances, and I'm wondering which one is best to use.

I was just there a couple weeks ago. It was still all split up and the cones made it easy to get pointed back out the exit if you miss the ramp to the second level. I had a reservation and entered on the arrivals level, but I just looked back at the res and it doesn't say to enter on the lower level anymore. I always stay on the lower level and go left on East Way and then take the first entrance on the left, so I'm not sure if the others have readers to let you in. IIRC, there are two entrance lanes and the one the left is labeled "premium parking" and the one on the right is "regular parking", and I took the one on the right.

Curious what people think would be the faster way out of LAX during a holiday travel period - central terminal parking or economy parking? I had good luck using economy in the past but had a pretty not great experience in late June waiting at TBIT. I try to avoid the mess that is LAX-it if possible

It depends partly on which terminal you're at - the Economy buses sometimes fill up before they get to the 6/7 (and maybe earlier) and you can miss a bus or two because they're full and LAWA isn't organized enough to figure out that they need a significantly higher bus frequency at peak times/holidays and that if they're filling rapidly in the north complex they need to send empty buses straight to the south complex. I've usually had pretty good luck at Economy, but have also had some long waits. If you don't mind a short walk across the street, you should also be able to hop on a City Bus Center shuttle if it comes before the Economy shuttle. P6/7 are better for driving out of the CTA than P3/P4. I don't fly out of the north complex much, but East Way and West Way should make P1/P2 comparable to P6/P7 for getting out.

September appears to be very off-peak for CTA parking.

I just got 4.5 days in P1 for $99 (using the SEPTEMBER discount code), where they were offering $90 in economy for the same itinerary less than a week out.

LAX parking just hit my personal and work accounts with three different promotions in less than 30 minutes. They need to relax a bit; it is just airport parking.

Anyway, I am copying these from the email T&C and trying to clean up their typos.

BIZTRIP for 10% off Economy Parking; 15% off P1 and P7 Terminal General Parking; 15% off Terminal Premium Parking; 10% off P7 Valet Parking. Expires at midnight October 14, 2024.

FALLPARK for 10% off Economy Parking; 20% off P1 and P7 Terminal General Parking; 15% off Terminal Premium Parking; 10% off P7 Valet Parking. Expires at midnight October 14, 2024.

PARKFALL for 25% off Budget Parking; 15% off Economy Parking; 20% off P1 and P7 Terminal General Parking; 15% off Terminal Premium Parking. Expires at midnight October 14, 2024.

I received yet a different one:

Use code LAXFALL24 and take an extra 20% off Budget Parking or 15% off select Terminal General Parking to get on your way faster.
I use the Economy Parking facility several times a years, so as a semi-regular customer I seem to no longer receive discount offers for that facility.

ETA: I just read the fine print, Economy Parking is included:

Redeem promo code LAXFALL24 for 20% off Budget Parking; 15% off Economy Parking; 15% off P1 and P7 Terminal General Parking; 15% off Terminal Premium Parking.

Economy has also been filling up lately, and they've been marking down CTA parking. I tend to use Economy for personal travel (longer) and CTA for work (usually shorter), but I've gotten good enough discounts that I've used CTA for longer trips. They don't mark down all the CTA structures the same, or consistently. Sometimes P7 will be cheaper, sometimes P1. Sometimes P6. I mostly fly out of T6 and T7, but I've used P1 a few times lately when it was very discounted and it's also easier to get out of the airport because it dumps you onto Center Way with no traffic, while P7 puts you in the left lane of World Way and you have to work a little to get to the ramp for SB Sepulveda. It's also a super short walk from P1 to T7, especially if you park far from T1 (where none of the T1 pax want to park, anyway).

It's been kind of full the last couple of times that I parked there and people were parking on the ramps. Fortunately, I can alway find an EV space and charge my car while I'm out of town.

I found today in my Chase Offers portal tied to my United Explorer Visa and Chase (Amazon) Prime card accounts, a promo for 5% cash back, when you opt in. This may be targeted so YMMV, but Southern California holders of those credit cards might want to look into it.

Offer expires 11/7/2024. Offer valid one time only. Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later). Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date.

Strange experience booking for 69 h in a few weeks: Having a 0055 AA transcon, leaving Pasadena 10 pm, so I'm not considering Budget, which came up $31. So the cheapest Econ was $74, and cheapest of the CTAs was $112, but not all (P1-P7) appeared. Sure enough, I changed "airline" to not AA, and only then P1 (levels 2-4) appeared at $75! So I booked P1 and am planning to walk south across P7 to enter TSA at either 7/6/5/4.

Can someone tell me if the P1 entrance from upper-level southbound East Way is still there, unaffected by the APM track right above?
