Ontario Gets a New Airline - Western Airlines
Been noticing a funny red and white painted 737 at Ontario the last couple weeks. At first I though it was a "vanity" paintjob for a Southwest aircraft but realized it couldn't be coincidence it was flying here every day. When you google "Western Airlines" their website isn't even in the top ten results. They have one daily flight to Bellingham Washington (BLI) Su/Mo/Th/Fr, about 50 miles south of Vancouver. They also fly to Phoenix and San Diego.

I see they're using the old western slogan of "the only way to fly"...is this some sort of successor airline? Did someone buy up the rights to use the old western name? kinda exciting - i loved those commercials as a kid - i always wanted to be the guy sitting on the fuselage, resting against the tail wing...
