Helga could be very clever about this.

Obviously spinning it as part of the “climate emergency” to save all those carbons for those uplifted food and bevs.

But more seriously. She could dump LSG and switch to a BOB provider with C given a choice of the menu. It’s ciao bellE to all those striking workers and an own goal for her enhancements.

I wonder if BOB would actually be an enhancement in terms of C catering, particularly for shorter routes? With sufficient stocks of course (but don’t forget the climate emergency for wasted carbons).

Thankfully we don’t have Clubs a la United , it’s lounges in Europe & as yet unaffected

SFO-MUC will be catered Ex SFO so no problems there, for the return your guess is as good as anyone’s

Helga, being clever ? That’s a big ask for starters.....

BoB would be preferable for J pax atm, since it involves cash, they would be trying to feed pax, instead of doing Nada...

It seems they are offering you 100€ cash transfer for a dinner when you complain. Giving the contract to a third party seems to be a thing at European outstations now. But they don't know which flights are being sabotaged in advance so it's hard to organise ad hoc.

Last Friday they seem to have had a meeting. If it went bad they will sabotage longhaul starting Monday.

I suppose that meeting didn’t go too well as yesterday’s flight TXL - FRA only had a minimum selection of drinks catered (no hot beverages, no alcoholic beverages, very few soft drinks, but sufficient juices and water). Managent need to get to terms with this farcical development!

HEL-FRA yesterday. FRA-ZRH today. On both flights only a cherry tart and water. Hopefully I can get 100eur from both. This happened a few weeks ago with LX but they actually proactively reached out and gave a 100CHF restaurant voucher, no need to file a complaint.

No catering issues on MCO-FRA and FRA-MCO flights. Only encountered the issue on EU flights.

No more information on LH website.

//update

Due to personnel shortage at our catering service provider, the loading of our flights is unfortunately limited at present. Lufthansa is therefore unable to provide the usual choice of drinks and meals on all flights. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Some new & seemingly very contagious bug which solely affects SkyChef employees

That LH think making an excuse is all they need to do is shameful
