Kate will only allow load totals up to $1999.99 every 10 minutes. It does not matter if it was you or the person before you. If you go over that limit, Kate will freeze. Sept 2015- Several people have reported the 10 minute limit is now longer than 10. Not sure how much longer yet. Several Kate's have locked up following the old 10 minute rule.
9 digit pin problem - Sometimes, for unknown reasons, after you swipe your card and enter your pin, MCE will ask you for a 9 digit pin. To date, no one knows why this happens, or has a fix for it.
If it repeatedly asks you for a pin, this is the same as the 9 digit pin problem and there is no fix.
Unplugging and re-booting by a supervisor doesn't fix this problem.
For consistent MCE issues, use the WM feedback link to report:

Select 'store experience' and be sure to include the store number and address. If you include your name and phone number the stores sometimes call when it is working again. Do not abuse this as it may lead to your MCE being removed.

Note: If you ever make a mistake, to get out, just unplug the headphone.

How to shut Kate up by sosamo
- Before you press anything, plug the headphones into the jack near the pinpad
- The touchscreen will "gray" out, and you won't be able to press anything.
- Press '3' on the pinpad
- Press 'Enter' on the pinpad
- Continue business as usual on the touch screen.

I suppose this is just piling on given recent reports, but I just discovered that an all-time favorite KATE of mine was replaced with an ATM. This gal worked reliably for at least three years. I could count on one hand the number of times I saw another MSer, and I can't remember one time she wasn't working.
So long, farewell. 2016 is fast becoming the gift that keeps on giving....

What is up with SGCs at Kate?
About two weeks ago and again today, I tried to load my GoBank card using Simon VGCs. Kate kept declining the cards. However, when I used the same cards at the cashier, they went through no problem. Anyone know what is up. It is a real pain because, obviously, can only load one card ($500) at the cashier, but Kate allows you to load up to $1999 through multiple swipes.

Had the same problem. Tried different WM KATEs and different source of metabank vgc and all got declined. Probably the KATE loading era is ending...

I have been out game for 2 month, (using all the miles for my Thailand trip
), I went Walmart today, looks like Kate has been upgrade with a new ATM, I put in my Gobank card, but not see a load function, not sure if it still work with BB/Serve/GoBank loading VGC.
