However, I don't know if that's because I cancelled a previous reservation or if it's just Cosmo being already coded in the system. I'm staying at the Aria soon and want to see if I should use a different CC.
If I were you, I'd check in and use the AMEX to see how the CC hold shows up for AMEX. If it's not a Marriott / AMEX confirms it won't give you 6pts, I'd switch the CC when you check out.

I just completed 4 nights at The Bellagio. Booked on the Bonvoy website. Took the $15 food credit per day option and it all worked with no problem. Points and nights posted 2 days later.

How was your elite experience there? Curious about potential upgrades (better views and/or better rooms excluding suite upgrades) and whether there was a dedicated, shorter checkin line for platinums and above?

The hold doesn't show anything specific. It's not until it posts that it will show up. I currently have 2 reservations booked though with 2 different cards. The hotel requires a deposit but can be cancelled so I will see how it shakes out.
Note that when I stayed at Cosmo, it didn't say anything about Marriott in the details other than that I got 6x points.

Booked Fountain view room and got that on the 10th floor. Priority checkin for MGM and Bonvoy Elite Plat and above was great. Only 3 in the Plat line as opposed to 20-25 in the normal line. No upgrade and I didn't ask. I did have to remind them about the 1000 points per stay or $15 per day food credit. I arrived after 6pm and left before Noon so not sure how late check in or out would have played out.

I stayed at the Cosmo back in January and got the 6x points then. So this one should already be setup working correctly.

Just following up on this: I booked a room that required advanced deposit. I booked through Marriott if that matters. The charge says "ARIA HOTEL CAASINO" and I received 6x points. Also my trip is perfect timing for the extra 4k points for the current Marriott promotion. Helps take the sting out of the extra amount I'm paying for Marriott stay credit and it being a hella expensive weekend.

Any experience with the suite upgrades for ambassadors (3 nights per year)? I am wondering how it works and what suites are available for the upgrade.

I have stayed at Aria & have a few data points regarding credit card points earned for MGM properties using Chase & Amex cards.

-Aria food charges at Starbucks & Patisserie using ApplePay Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant and earned 6x Marriott points.
-Carrot Top Tickets purchased on MGM website earned 6x Marriott points on Chase Ritz-Carlton Visa.
-Aria restaurant charge to Chase Ritz-Carlton prior to room checkin earned 6x Marriott points.
-Aria room charges to Chase Ritz Carlton card at end of stay earned 6x Marriott points.

Awesome! Thank you for this information. Question - Did you book your room via Marriott or MGM? From everything that you have added, it seems that it doesn't really matter but just curious.

I may have missed it if it was discussed already, are the ambassador benefits only valid through a promotional period (12/31/24)? Maybe I am looking at a dated page?! Hope so.

If it’s true, what is the difference in benefits between Titanium and Ambassador after this period?
