13K shy of CO Gold. Help!

Ok, I know time's running out, but I'd really like to be gold for the first time. Can someone suggest something under $400.00 that will give me 13K miles before Dec 31 on CO from NYC? Please? Thanks.

Not at this time of the year. You would have to purchased your ticket more than a month ago to get a rate like that. Today you would be looking at something more like $2000-$3000.

I've tried mostly DreamMap. I found a ewr-lhr 12/22 return 12/23 for 297.00, but by the time I could book it the fare was gone. I was thinking about doing trip twice. The cheapest EWR-NRT I can find is $616.00, about the same as 2 trips to London. Any suggestions? Come on pros help me out.

Just do EWR-NRT. Check the mileage required to see if you'll make it. If not, try ABE-EWR-NRT, BWI-EWR-NRT, or BOS-EWR-NRT or just do a cheap domestic flight.

If you can book EWR-NRT for $616., IMHO, grab it! You're not gonna' find it much cheaper this time of year. I'm surprised it's that cheap.

Below is probably the best deal that you'll find right now in terms of combined time and money. I found it by using FareBrowser (there's a link in my sig - please use links through it or chip in a few bucks to support it ).

EWR-NRT, nonstop, CO 9, Sat 12/29 10:50 AM - Sun 03:15 PM, 6737 miles

NRT-EWR, nonstop, CO 8, Sun 12/30 05:40 PM - Sun 04:20 PM, 6737 miles

13474 total miles for $616.89. Out on Saturday morning and back in the late afternoon on Sunday. Available on Expedia as of 5:48 PM CST on Sat 12/15.
