First Mileage Run?

I was checking the possible mileage run for the new year and found;

LAX-SIN-NRT-LAX (Jan.18-20...no overnight stay)

Actual miles: 17,543 (w/o any bonus miles)
Fare: $563.70 (united.com)

I would be completely exhausted, but I will think about the trip seriously. If I do 6 trips of these, I will be 1K...

Go through SFO, and HNL, and you wil only have to do five... I was supposed to do five, but only made three in this last month because the fares sold out

Actually if I go through SFO and HNL, it only addes 2,000 more miles but the fare is doubled (unless my search is not good enough).

Also, my original itinerary has reasonable connection time (not too much, not too little).

You could get an extra 500 miles each direction (an extra 1000 status miles RT) by adding ONT-LAX or SNA-LAX. Either airport only adds about $10-15 RT (to cover the PFC's & segment excise taxes). Cheap way to get 1000 extra status miles (2000 total miles for 1P & 1K's). That was what I did for my two SIN trips.

It's even less than that for Monday through Thursday departures. Can you shift the travel dates to Jan 17-21?

Also, you may have an easier time going through customs at SFO than at LAX. There have been many reports of LAX customs giving mileage runners a hard time. Not that SFO isn't perfect, either.
