Mileage Plus Mall / Apple Education Store -- Combo Deal?

Mileage Plus Mall / Apple Education Store -- Combo Deal?
Does anyone out there have experience buying an Apple computer through the Mileage Plus Mall? When I click the "Go Shopping" button at the MP Mall, it opens a new Apple Store window, which doesn't seem to have any reference to United or Mileage Plus.
What I was thinking, is to buy a new Laptop through the Apple Education Store (I work in Ed, which basically means ~10% discount on a computer), and also earn the 1.5 miles/dollar on the purchase (through MP Mall). But, I don't want to lose out on the Education discount in order to receive the MP Miles.
To add, Apple has their annual "Free iPod" promotion going on through the Summer -- where you can purchase a computer + iPod, and get (up to) a $199 rebate.
MacBook Pro Laptop = 1100
8 gb iPod touch = 200
(mail in rebate) = 200
Total = $1100
Mileage Plus Miles (1.5 / dollar) = 1950
(plus my CC miles) = 1300
Any insight??

AFAIK the sessions are tracked by cookies.
MP Mall will issue a tracking cookie trying to take credit for the purchase.
Additionally, the education referral site will issue a cookie letting the server know to give you the special discount at the store due to your affiliation with education.
I am not 100% certain, but I believe the cookie you went to last before making the purchase will receive credit for the purchase. I sure way to make sure the correct credit is given is to clear all cookies and go with the link you wish to award the miles to. I would think getting the educational discount would supercede the MP miles because you would still be earning miles with the MP card.
