Hotel Bookings - Status
Hopefully ive posted this in the right subheading.
Currently looking to plan a trip for around 3 weeks. Currently no hotel loyalty status.
If im booking 5rooms per night for 3 weeks with e.g IHG/HH/SPG etc, is it possible to ask for some top tier status for the trip, so ill get the upgrades and amenities?
Was hoping to get top tier status (for this holiday) with 1 of these chain hotels for my trip as ill be charging all rooms to my account.
Any feedback would be welcome.
THanks

Sure, anything is possible...........
One way to handle this would be to book in 5 nearby hotels at each destination, one in each chain. That wouldn't help you for this trip but would have you on your way in 5 chains for the future.
If you are a US resident, consider getting the Priority Club Visa... Any offer that awards you at least 60k points will instantly give you Platinum status. You could also use the card for all the rooms, earning lots of bonus points.
ISTR one of the Marriott Rewards cards giving instant Silver. There are also ways with Hilton, if you have a ton of spend immediately, to earn Gold or Diamond(?) with their CC.
Really, if you're going to be charging that many rooms to your card, you should consider a matching hotel CC regardless.

Hilton - I called and got a free upgrade to Silver from Blue
SPG - I did have the SPG Amex, but they upgraded me to Gold before I met the spend requirement
Priority Club - Status matched me to Gold
Hyatt - Had a promo for free Silver status a few months back. You had to sign up through some airlines, I think
