There's really not been alot mentioned about... you know what, lately.
Was just wondering whatever happened "Cigarman Air?"
The livery had been clearly identified, although I don't recall customer "feed back" having been "put in front of customers."
Clearly, there was quite a bank roll behind this upstart.
However, I can find no URL address or any flights in my handy dandy home CRS???
Did it merge with someone else?
So what's ever happenned to Cigarman Air?

Wonder what happened to all those charter flights for smokers years ago (right after smoking domestically on airplanes was banned)? Not enough business, or too smoky (smokey?) for smokers?

If you still want to "fly the phlegmy skies", just hop on JAL to the orient. Their flights I believe are still all-u-can smoke. Did JAL stand for Japanese Against Lungs?!?

Get you facts straight MR NICE. You don't get lung cancer from smoking cigars... you possibly get mouth cancer. Key difference between cigars and cigarettes... you don't inhale (bill cliton would be proud!).

Cigar smoking increases the risk of death from several cancers, including cancer of the lung, oral cavity (lip, tongue, mouth, throat), esophagus (the tube connecting the mouth to the stomach), and larynx (voice box). As with cigarettes, the amount of exposure to cigar smoke is a key factor in determining the risk involved. Smoking more cigars each day or inhaling cigar smoke leads to increased exposure and increased risks. For those who inhale, cigar smoking appears to be linked to cancer of the pancreas and bladder as well.
Most large scale studies have looked at the number of deaths from cancer in cigar smokers, not the number of cancer cases. While this might lead to an underestimation of the number of cancer cases caused by cigar smoking, the figures are still alarming.
The risk of death from lung cancer is two to five times higher in cigar smokers as compared to nonsmokers. The risk is also two to five times higher for death from cancer of the esophagus. Death from cancer of the oral cavity is three to eight times more likely in cigar smokers, and the risk of death from cancer of the larynx is ten times higher.
Again, the amount of exposure seems to be important. Recent studies have shown risk rates even higher than those listed above in people who smoke three or more cigars a day. However, the risk of death from these types of cancer is lower than the figures above in those who smoke two or fewer cigars a day. The health risks associated with occasional cigar smoking (less than daily) are not known.
FWIW, I do NOT smoke - period! The choice is yours!

I do have my facts straight, sir. SECOND HAND SMOKE has been proven to cause cancer in adults, children, and even small babies. It would not take too long to obtain the scientific facts (even the long hidden ones finally released by the tobacco companies).

Lighten up Mr Nice and Doc. Did I not grant you that it did cause a type of cancer? Again we have a problem that tone does not translate in typing. My post was not supposed to be critical, just an attempt to put the humor back in the thread. It was like saying, "no you don't die from a gun... it is the bullet that kills you!". I conceeded you cancer point with no arguements. However, I am very familiar with this subject as I am often a guest on a nationally syndicated cigar show. We have had many experts from both sides on. Yes, cigar smoking can double a chance. The problem is that the chance started at 1/2% and now it is 1%. This of course depends on how many are smoked for how long excetra. Doc, you might be interested to know that the average cigar smoker smokes about 2 a week. Your 3 a day statistics are true, however, that is not the real world pattern. That is about 10 times the norm. It would be like someone doing a study about drinking 20 beers a day (if the norm was 2). Sure, bad things happen. However, the exact same thing happens if you drink too much milk. Or too much artifical sweetener, or too much of anything. Pick you poison... we are all going to die. If you are an exception to that rule... I need to build a shrine and worship you. The key is as Aristotle put it, "all things in moderation". Now can the smoke, drink, red meat, Police calm down and let flyertalk be a fun place. Just because you feel strongly about a subject does not mean you have to find a way to interject it into a thread. The thread was a jab at me for being gone for a few days. It was not a thread about the risks of cigar smoking. I don't come into your house and get mud on the carpet... so could you please not do it in mine?

FWIW, I love hooking up with cigarman at FT events as this is the ONLY time I have the pleasure of enjoying a great cigar. CM, thanks for sharing your stash of Cubanos with me!
BTW, how did this humorous thread denigrate to a rhetoric on the pros and cons of smoking?
