Hottest Deal Ever to Central America ??? $99 RT!

This $99 RT 'Christmas Thank You' fare is so low the I think it's worthy of the buzz - although it has already been mentioned in the LP and MR forums. Yet to be determined is whether or not FF miles can be earned on any carrier. Today is the last day to purchase.

Grupo Taca is offering the $99 deal out of IAH and DFW... other cities slightly higher.

The deal can be found at:

tvlrfree, I'm glad you cross-posted here... the LatinPass forum is pretty sleepy these days. I checked the original Spanish of the terms & conditions you asked about; it appears that what TACA is saying is that you won't get an on-line purchase bonus for these fares. Also, to those unfamiliar with Taca and/or LatinPass, they are partners with US & KL.

HKG_Flyer1:

RU you talking about an online booking bonus of say 1,000 miles are not applicable to these tkts, but FF miles are given?

It appears that the fare basis is LXCARCNV.

Has anyone checked with TA and/or US to see if L COS pays miles?

I just spoke with the Taca Frecuencia program and they said that the flights are eligible for credit.

However, you may want to call them yourself to see if you get the same answer-- telephone number is 1-800-535-8780. It is best to speak Spanish, since FF-related calls appear to be routed to Central America.

If you decide to do this, be advised that Taca frequently only guarantees that one of your checked bags will travel with you on the same flight-- but this shouldn't be of concern to mileage runners!
