Yes, we have a team Flyertalk. I have been doing Kiva loans for several years and have 96 loans. The only loans that went south on me were the ones in kenya that defaulted during the violence after the elections that left my women burned out. I now loan to the south america and south pacific ladies. it has been a much better experience than Prosper, that had almost everyone who received loans running for the hills with their loaned funds. Kiva is great in my opinion. Be sure to sign up for the Flyertalk team!

Out of my portfolio of $33,125 lent over 1,130 loans, $479.08 or approximately 1.5% default rate.

Kiva lists the average user's default rate as 1.62%.

I suspect my default rate will increase as a number of my active loans are delinquent.

I was unaware of Kiva - thank you. I recently read "The Price of a Dream, The Story of the Grameen Bank" (I know, the book is a little old), so the concept is interesting and timely for me.
