ST: Saudia First class - HBE (Alexandrie, Egypt)-JFK (OJ LAX possible) +- €1500

Pretty nice fare out of North-Africa. Saudia's first class is solid enough, and the A bucket credits 200% on many programs (150XP for the return when crediting to FB)
Open-jaw with outbound LAX, inbound JFK possible for a little more.
I guess you need to call to book, as I can't find the itinerary online.

Great fare, but as you say, I can't get it to come to a final "real" price -- it's not even listed in the travel agent GDS. Anyone have any luck?

Don't forget that Saudia is a dry airline. Also, connections through KSA may require visas.

International connections under 12 hours within the same airport do not require visa. I have transited there several times with SV without any issue.

Domestic connections, involving JED-RUH or v.v. for example, require a visa.

The HBE-JED is, but the JED-JFK is in first.

Correct, the fare base is for I, but longhaul segment should book into A, according to ITA.

HBE = Alexandria, Egypt

I tried looking up HBE in the "Airport Code Look-up" at the bottom of this page, but it wasn't there. Google did the job, so thought I'd post it to save others the trip.

Alexandria, Egypt

Business or first

When I click the link or go into Saudi web site, the fare that is shown is business for the 2 segments. Am I doing something wrong?

It could be very useful for requalification on various SkyTeam programs, for example Flying Blue. The price is certainly good. Could be interesting ti visit Alexandria too. As for Saudia, I will be trying it out in Economy in a few weeks, so I will give feedback from the back of the plane!

Not sure why some folk complain about SV. I have flown with them in business from JED to FRA and to be honest, I found them outstanding.
Ok, they are a "dry airline", but why should that be an issue for anyone

Seems like a very good price for such nice looking seats in F. I would forego a drink for a nice seat at a nice price....
