Huh, so I put this on hold at $580 per ticket. When I went to go purchase they are now quoting me $850+. I have a confirmation email clearing showing $580 but somehow the reservation online now shows higher price. It seems like AA price hold process is broken.

Can you try giving AA a call? Maybe the agent can see the correct price in the PNR notes? or AA Twitter?

Yeah I called AA, EXP line corrected it after about an hour. Now ticketed to ADZ on this crazy mileage run. Thanks!

As an aside,

Can I ask what was so bad about Providencia? It has rave reviews everywhere I look.

I think they should change to any Colombian destination in this case?

For upgrade purposes it's considered Colombia, so hopefully it doesn't magically shift to the Caribbean when you need them to actually do something for you.

Does this kind of fare credit to BA Executive Club as an I-class or a discount economy class fare?

Called AA, in this case they'll iust refund you since they can't re-accomodate. AA won't reroute to other Colombian cities unless you want to pay the fare difference. No OneWorld partners fly to ADZ.

Same question here
I got a call from AA today but intentionally ignored it
Agent was very specific in the VM regarding the cancellation of MIA-ADZ
