TAP: YYZ-LIS (direct) A321 (but full flat) 1173 EUR AI Rtn

While looking through the KL/AF deal I noticed a TAP direct business class sale just launched. 1173 EUR direct with TAP, 1088 with some OTAs.

This is hands down the best lie flat J deal to cross the Atlantic, baring any error fares. You will never get anything cheaper, non stop, lie flat, that also gives good miles, unless an error fare comes along.

The 321 is a little tight, but much doable especially in the single "throne" J seats.

Did it on the A318 BA-Babybus JFK-LCY many years ago, it was actually preferable as you got longer sleeping time. The seats are modern flat beds it should be fine. I once did UA economy 757 east coast (EWR maybe) to MAN and that was thoroughly miserable...

This deal was available a few months ago for about $100 cheaper and I booked 4 of them. You can also get the same/similar pricing to other cities in Portugal and do a stopover in Lisbon (We booked Faro for example). It is a great deal and earns 200% on Aeroplan.

I have flown the 321 and it is fine. It may get a bit intense when it hits a pocket of turbulence, but ok. Putting on your PJs for the night in the throne seat is slightly less private than on a widebody, but doable.

Yea, because if you were going to position, it may get close to that. Up to $1600-1700 or so are good deals from NA to Europe. What is nice about this is that it is a nonstop flight and you can go to your real destination with one more flight, as opposed to having an extra intra-EU flight somewhere you may not want to go.
