AM Various Canadian/US cities to GRU/GIG US$1800-2500 RT
It comes and goes as far as fare sale. However, currently there's good availability for AM tickets between US/CANADA and GRU, obviously connecting in MEX. Fares between US$1800 and US$2500 depending on city. Note that AM service from Canada is all 737. Six and half hours in a 737 (even in F) can be classified as cruel and unusual punishment.
Best deals are from cities with AM service. However there are various odd dates that DL flights to can be combined with AM flights.
Lastly, on related note, DL has fares in same range from Canadian cities and a few West coast US cities. Drawback, They usually can involve long Westjet flights. However, a Plus, they can use LATAM flights from JFK/MIA.
The AM fares generally must be booked via OTA. The DL fares can generally be booked directly with DL. (exception if mixing in LA metal, then generally must use OTA)
Various dates from immediately through EOS.
Just booked AM JFK-MEX-GRU RT (all 787) for $2000. Also MCO-MEX-GRU RT for $1800.
Booked YYC-ATL-GRU (WS/DL) RT for $2200 And lastly YYZ-ATL-MIA-GRU RT (DL/LA outbound and LA/DL/WS on return).
All booked travel is for January and February.

I booked the long layover. However there's two daily 787s from GRU and two daily 787s from JFK. I'd rather a hotel visit than riding a 737 for 5.5-6.5 hours.

I remember flying this route in early 2020 (Feb 2020) - YUL to GRU via MEX. I skipped the final segment (MEX - YUL), so I could avoid the long layover in MEX and get home with another carrier (award flight) to a different destination.
Yeah, the flight down from YUL to MEX was pretty bad, even in the front of the 737 bird. Also positioned to YUL.
The AM fare then was 1,600 Canadian Dollars.
