October shows $2000-2300 CAD fares to other spots in europe in business (portugal, OPO, LIS etc) and around 2800-3200 to other spots like BUD, DUB, BRU, PRG etc so again the 3668 seems pretty pricey,....

This is arguably an unfair comparison. For the same reasons of how one cannot compare an NYC-LHR fare vs a YYZ-LHR fare.
There is a lot more air passenger traffic in the US, so the market is a lot more competitive. Your country does not impose a federal sales, nor do the airports in the US impose multiple layers of fees: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/busi...-airport-fees/.

Again, if this is a mean to accumulate status points, fine; even if you don't want to re-position, also okay, but as others have pointed out, even from YYZ, there are current deals much less than this one.
At the end of the day, if you feel this is a good deal, go for it!
