Lx/lh: Bru-hkg ~€1700 j

Found this when looking for flights to pair with the KUL-LAX fare. Seems to be dates in August/January for ~1700. Booked one for August. I played around with adding routing via BKK/TYO but couldn't make it work (BKK would show up but errored out right before payment page)

August Example:

January Example:

Seems KLM has a similar fare, Not super knowledgeable about flying blue to see how to mix this up to get additional XP.

End of September / Early October.

As a general rule of thumb, LX and LH have the worst J products out of Europe unless its on Allegris which this is not. So go with KL

I prefer LX to KL, especially if travelling alone.

Though the gin houses could sway my choice.

LH is last.
Between LX and KL this would depend on what matter to you: hard or soft product. Timing could also make a difference.

LX has the better lounges in ZRH and also the better food in the air.

I see some availability with a detour through TPE with HKG-TPE on CI, however I can only book it through an OTA. Anyone any ideas how to make it possible to book via KLM's website? They don't seem to offer the CI-part of the trip and only give me the (expensive) direct HKG-AMS(-BRU) option.

KL has new(er) Dreamliners on this route, with 1-2-1 lieflats and good screens. LX has older product with weaker seats and weaker AV/screens. Service I find comparable. I've had very good service on KL longhaul recently.

Can't find that one anymore, it's probably gone. There are still €1700 fares from BRU though, but regular routings. In the end I booked with a connection via TPE on CX (which I also can't reproduce anymore)
